    Although I am admitted long time truly die hard San Francisco 49er Faithful Fan, going into my fourth decade of 49er fandom , living and dying with my team, one of the most glorified franchises in NFL history..... I am very happy that since we lost in this renowned Super Bowl, that we lost to a team that was run by the never give up icon of Kansas City lore, Andy Reid.
    Our collaborative sister-city status throughout the years is one that cannot be matched, overlooked , or ignored, because our brotherly love for each other through the years made our relationship one that no other teams in the NFL had in the respect and appreciation we had for each other.
    Even when it came to this ultimate showdown and spectacle in the NFL, there was no denying that Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan both were paying homage to the great innovator, if not the greatest innovator in NFL history, Bill Walsh.
    Walsh's play designs and attacks on offense are legendary. His ability to draft, trade, cut, and promote his personnel to gain the best edge he possibly could attain in the NFL brought other teams to their knees, and developed a whole slew of Walsh disciples who carried his vision of excellence and cunning strategic design plays to new heights , all with the basic foundation of the Walsh ethos.
    Andy Reid was a great student of, and is now a great innovator of the West Coast Offense. And because Andy had struggled for so long to achieve this ultimate achievement in the world of Football in the NFL I take my helmet off to him, and give Andy all the respect and accolades that come with his achievement this year be ause he damn well deserved it.
    There is no other team or coach in the NFL that I would say that if we had to lose to someone, I was more than happy that it turned out to be to our Sister-City and Brotherly Love for the Kansas City Chiefs and Head Coach and now King Andy Reid.
    Congratulations to you and your great team and all the people who work in the organization of the Chiefs.
    You deserved the win... and I hope we can do it all over again next year... but with different results of course!
    Cheers to you guys on a great win. I'm glad for you and your fans and city to get to the promised land. Enjoy the feeling.... kudos to all of you.
    It will be fun to do this again, and again, and again...
    Congrats you guys, well done👍🏼👍🏼🍻🍻👌👏👏🥳🥳👍🏼😎

      when I watched the "Mic'd Up" version of superbowl, I gained great respect for the 49rs (especially Kittle) for being fierce competitors yet classy at the same time. San Fran was likely the better team but Chiefs had an Elway, Montana type of QB in Mahomes that will give any team a chance to win. The run offense of the 49rs is scary good and Shanahan is an amazingly talented coach. NFL gaining in parity and will be fun to watch. As a Chiefs fan, I am so thankful Frisco chose to pass rather than run the ball in last half of 4th quarter. I feel the Chiefs would have been unable to stop the run game but for some cosmic reason the 49rs passed instead and allowed K.C. to win the game

      @@gregorydryden7865 It was written in the stars before the game started. I haven't gone thru the Super Bowl hilites yet...still a little bruised by the outcome.
      But like I said, if we had to lose to anyone in the NFL I'm glad it was to the Chiefs and Reid. It's almost like finally losing to your little brother after so many years. I mean, yeah, it hurts, but he's my brother....so it's cool.
      Hope we can do a repeat next year. Congrats little brothers and sisters...enjoy your rewards. You earned it. 👍🏼🍻

    I've been a Chiefs fan for the past 30 years and you really nailed the history. It's always been a game or two short, but you really nailed it with the conservative offense comment. Getting a SB win was awesome, but we in KC wouldn't even care if the Chiefs lost a first round game. Watching these guys just go all out for the past two years has been exciting. I love how it might be 3rd and 1 and then Mahomes tosses the ball 40 yards down field like it's nothing. But yeah, as Chiefs fan it's awesome to see the offense taking risks, and you nailed the sentiment of every fan watching over the past 20 years or so. We love the Chiefs whether they're boring or not, but holy shit has Mahomes and the rest of the offense made it exciting to watch.

Mahomes is special. I remember not wanting to get too excited about him, not letting myself dream too much. But after about 3 games I knew we had something that most teams might never get. The kid is a dynamo. And he came into the perfect situation. Humble, competitive and amazing.

      DASPORTS GOAT It’s got to be the 2016-2017 playoff loss to the Steelers. As painful as that loss to the Colts and Luck was that KC team wasn’t very good. That ‘16-‘17 team started the year with a bang and finished with the #2 seed. They had much more potential so that loss was painful. Alex Smith’s liabilities and limitations were very obvious in that game. Which led to the drafting of Mahomes that Spring.

    I challenge everyone go look at all of Pat Mahomes college football games. Theres a common theme. I followed Pat because my children attended tech same time he was there. He was always played from behind. His Defense was not there so Pat was forced to be creative and rely on his throwing td's. If defenses flush him out of the quarterback pocket he's even more successful at completing the pass. I think he enjoys off balance throws like in baseball. People hes was performing at this level but in college ball before showcasing his talent. NFL scouting sure missed out but I'm so happy he went to Andy. Pat threw for 720 yards oct 20,2016 and still lost the game because his D couldn't stop the other team. Pat is the real deal and for many years to come.

      Mark Smith, agreed. The defense was terrible in 2018 but the Chiefs were an offsides away from playing in the Super Bowl. I think the Chiefs would have beaten the Rams if they could have done better ball control. But in 2019, the Chiefs defense was fantastic. Like I said, I knew it was going to take time, but when it clicked, this team was finally going to put it altogether. Brett Veach retooled this defense in one offseason. Outstanding job Veach! He has made several time management mistakes... and bad play calls in crucial situations. So this year we all got to see a much improved version of Andy Reid. He managed the clock very well and his play calling was probably the best its ever been. I read that the 49'ers were the best in the NFL this year on 3rd and 4th down with one yard to go. The Chiefs were 5/5 in the Super Bowl and went for it every time. KUDOS to Andy Reid !!

    I agreed with almost everything you stated, but just because you paid the OL a LOT of money didn't make them great. Chiefs fielded an all pro RT, solid RG and LT. The LG was subpar until they signed Wiznewski late and their center was suspect all season. Mahomes simply has excellent pocket presence and drops back deeper than any other QB. MAHOMES made the OL look better than they played.

    It will be interesting to see what Mahomes does on his next contract. You know why the Patriots went on such a long run of SB games. Brady never maxed out his contract thus leaving money on the table to build a TEAM around him. As a Chiefs fan I pray Mahomes does something similar.

    PM renders conventional wisdom moot. Down, distance, time, score, field position, etc, etc, etc.... all irrelevant with #15 taking snaps.
    The flip side, just to be fair, is that conventional wisdom is exactly that - wisdom. Mahomes/Reid have demonstrated a disregard for late game clock management. They've lost a handful of games simply because they left too much time. Even the Super Bowl, could have easily been a loss because SF was within one score, with possession and two minutes remaining.
    Laying that aside, for the last two years, Mahomes is playing the position better than it has ever been played.... by ANYONE.... EVER. It has been a privilege to watch.

    I think before Reid came to KC, he built teams based on his own eyeballs. He's got a good eye. But that's no substitute for a big, well-trained, and competitive scouting department. When Dorsey came in as GM in KC, I started seeing praise and promotions for the scouts who pounded the table for great players, like Chris Jones. I don't care how much time any one guy spends looking at film, scouring the college ranks for talent with just 2 eyes. Reid calls it "the heavy lifting" that Reid used to try to do a little too much by himself in Philly, but who could blame him? Going to work would be play time!
    I can see totally giving your life to running all aspects. It's like you're an overgrown kid, playing with a great big giant toy. Dan Snyder's considered one of the worst owners, because how he dabbled, but what man among us wouldn't dabble if we were actual owners? At least a little bit?
    I wonder if/when they're gonna let Eddie DeBartolo out of the slam. His '9ers were similar to the Chiefs under Clark Hunt in that I don't think money is an object for Clark, or if it is, he's going after it by investing in extra little things for the team. Nicer facilities. Lots of big feeds. Large staffs with go-fers for anything you might want looked into. Have questions about a person or situation? You fly somebody to the scene. You've got a pair of eyes in the stands at that D-II game or that JUCO game or some HS game.
    One of the things I noticed not long after Reid came to KC was that KC's staff grew to one of the top 2 or 3 in the league, just for the sheer number of assistants (and assistants to assistants). Not just in the coaching dept, but all depts. The Clark wants to be as classy as possible.

    Let me start out saying I've been a Kansas City Chiefs fan since 1968 and this Super Bowl is the start of our Dynasty honestly I love my team butt Patrick Mahomes should not have got Super Bowl MVP the running back Williams should have got it he played a complete game Mahomes struggled a little the first half because Frisco took are deep ball away until the second half

    • @alaskau9175
      @alaskau9175 4 года назад

      Everything you said is true, but it's a Most Valuable Player award. They wouldn't have won that game if Mahomes hadn't overcome his struggles and then played nearly perfect in the 4th Q. Without him doing that, no matter how well Damien played, they would have lost.

    No, but I'm sure they want to make him the "new face", but he's too humble for that. I don't think he will ever sellout as hard as they want, so he can't be the face. He's just the guy who does his job extremely well.
    Also, no if we kept Smith for 5 more years, we (KC) would've eventually turned on him. I'm sorry, but winning isn't enough, and we needed that playoff win.

    • @Dankilicious123
      @Dankilicious123 4 года назад

      i mean thats exactly what they want. tom brady is incredibly humble and so was manning. they constantly took pay cuts to keep winning and are known for how politically correct they are in their public relations. mahomes is everything that the league looks for in a face for the league. unreal talent, exciting plays, heart, bravado, moxie, humble, genuine, hard working, an innovator of the game, he's still with his high school sweetheart for the sentimental types of people out there and he has insatiable desire to win at all costs. he embodies what makes the heart of a champion and he's a perfect fit for it because he's everything they want future generations of athletes to aspire to be like in this league one day.

    Great as always man, top content! Mahomes contract will be a watershed. The era of OVERPAID QB'S is coming to an end... It's unsustainable and a bad QB contract kills your team chances of winning. Ask the Rams, Jags,Vikings. 🤣🤣🤣

    • @DRM-nb1fg
      @DRM-nb1fg 4 года назад +1

      Nah, I don't think the era of overpaid QB's is ending. It is going off the charts pretty soon. Mahomes will set the market and then you will see a bunch of inferior QB's get paid above his number. Same crap happened with Aaron Rodgers many years ago.

    • @armandoalban8771
      @armandoalban8771 4 года назад

      @@DRM-nb1fg Could be, then again it took 3 years for the also rans to rack up that type of money. Also, Rodgers numbers weren't looking so hot by then.... You might be on the money but somehow I think Mahomes numbers will be so out there that the agents will get squashed... We shall see. 😁

    My question is why did it take Patrick mahomes a few season for Patrick mahomes to be in the conversation for MVP. But it took Russell Wilson nearly 8 season t o be in the conversation for MVP. Russell has carried the franchise for years name one QB in superbowl era who has carried the franchise besides Russell Wilson
