Rusty Reese yeah u can’t really hate today’s raiders because today’s raiders are awful but I do hear some chiefs fans would like the raiders to become good and competitive with the chiefs to make the rivalry more meaningful
@@scottielutz3062 absolutely. It's one of the best rivalrys in football. Mostly for me though it's an AFC west thing. My first clear superbowl memory was the Marcus Allen lead raiders. That all happened around the time of Derrick Thomas being drafted or a little before. Been through a lot of heartbreak with this team, but that's just the nature of sports. I don't have a problem with the rest of the division being successful when the stumble though. While I wasn't alive back then, and that's not my reason I do think it's fitting. Good luck to you and the raiders in Las Vegas.
Scottie Lutz, I'm a 50 year lifelong Chiefs fan, I do miss the rivalry. Gruden should turn that team around. But I don't think Carr is the piece of the puzzle that Gruden is looking for. He's injury prone, and throws too many picks. Judging by the sideline body language, I'm thinking Gruden wants to groom his own guy the way the Chiefs allowed Reid to do with Mahomes. Gruden is an excellent Q.B. coach.. Mahomes, Brady, Fvarve, are perfect proof that a winning Q.B. doesn't need to be an overall number one pick. Good luck to your Raiders, but not too much.
David Judd LOL But I do agree that my raiders need to move on from Carr because this is now his 6th season and with him we have only had one winning season into the playoffs. And since that season, the man just has not been the same. I know since 02-03 my raiders have had a losing franchise and I never got to witness the glory years or witness either raider super bowl win. But win lose or tie I’m a Raider till I die

You can say what you want, but Dorsey had no say in Mahomes. Veach brought him to Andy. Andy eventually spent 8 hours with Mahomes on the whiteboard. Andy saw that Mahomes didn't just have crazy physical talent, he also had an insane football IQ. Therefore, Andy loved him. Andy drafted him. No GM is going to tell Andy who to draft as his QB. They might be the GM, but it's Andy's offense.
With the salary cap window quickly closing on the Chiefs, it was important that they won it all this year. I was 11years old when they last won it. We never dreamed going back would be this long. Marino was in the same boat as Mahomes his second year. Everyone thought he'd have multiple chances. He never went back. So, savor this win baby. With all that said, the 2019 Chiefs are a much younger team that the 1969 team.
“Only making it to the Super Bowl once out of four tries. 25% isn’t great in any statistical category.” Drives me nuts. So getting to 4 championship games isn’t enough, it’s expected to get to the super bowl more than 25% of the time? How often is acceptable for him to make the Super Bowl before it’s not choking? 50% or more? Crazy town! Legend of a coach! Still loved the video, thanks for upload.
Mahomes is great. Like, REALLY great. Easily, the best player in the league. And he's surrounded by an insanely good receiving corps. And, Andy Reid's system and play calling fit him perfectly. All that is given. What really won the Super Bowl for KC - and what I was glad to see you emphasize - was that defense. If that defense had been on the 2018 squad, the Chiefs might well have run the table. It's not that they were that dominant. With that offense, they don't need to be great. They merely need to be good. They need to get enough stops to let Mahomes and company do their thing. They need to NOT give up 40+ and turn games into track meets in which the last team to possess the ball wins. That turns games they might ordinarily win into coin flip situations. Witness - it was a coin flip that gave Brady the ball in OT in last year's AFC Championship game. If that toss had gone the other way, we could easily be talking about a potential chiefs 3-peat next year.
I wish there was a “love” button because I don’t like this video, I LOVE this video. Great work, keep them coming... maybe you can make one on the Eagles for this Philly girl here (who just happens to love the Chiefs too, considering the multiple connections they have to our team).

it's super rare these days when a veteran qb teaches a rookie the ropes. I mean, I love Brett Favre... but he was a total DICK to A-a-ron. Smith was never going to be *THE GUY* in KC to take the Chiefs over the hump...he's a great guy, but if it wasn't for his injury, we'd have never seen PM play for a while (anyone else thinks so?)
No. From the time Mahomes was drafted, there was a clock ticking on Alex Smith. One year. He knew it. Everybody did. Mahomes started the final game of the season his rookie year so that Alex would be fresh for the playoffs. Smith wasn't injured. Alex Smith was all class. He took time to teach Mahomes (unlike Joe Flacco in Denver with drew Lock) and Mahomes learned a lot without having to take a beating his rookie season. Andy Reid has enormous respect for Alex Smith and the Chiefs traded him to a team that had a need for Alex's talents so they could move on from Kirk Cousins.
I always wonder at what level does sportsmanship and teamwork go out the window, and it's about nothing but gamesmanship and greed? Pro level? Collegiate? Because I don't know about all of you, but growing up poor, I know it doesn't take much money to have everything you need to live a comfortable and happy life. There is a point when money becomes excessive and is more than you need. If you're an athlete who loves his sport, it should be about the winning, not having enough money to buy 14 cars, 7 houses, and take 18 vacations a year. Any free agent this season should be biting at the bit to play for the Chiefs and with Mahomes.
Ur absolutely wrong about the chiefs challenging the premise of defense wins championships because their defense was a big reason they won the championship🤷🏾♂️ the defense running game and especially MAHOMES

it's super rare these days when a veteran qb teaches a rookie the ropes.
How many time since these are in the podcast?
Depends on the video.. mock’s/pick’ems will probably be early, this style will probably be a day after it fires live on RUclips

“How the nfl referees built a Super Bowl champion”
Toto 1 cry a little more
You’re a salty little bitch 😂
Y’all both mad because y’all know it was rigged, keep believing in this fake ass sport lmao
Brennan McKinney 🖕
settle for Eric Fisher, WTF
Pay the refs that how
You a fourth whiners fan?
Refs... That's how.
Sean Morris lol cry. Fortywhiners
Sean Morris the salt level is immense
Did you mean how they hired a Super Bowl Champion in the form of Bill Vivnovich
Like I said b4..
Best Team in FB and it wasn't close!!
jaime chiefs best team only with the refs help 🤷♂️
The super bowl was by far mahomes worst game ever. He felt the pressure and got the necessary help from the refs. Shit was rigged 100%
HATERZ will HATE..
BLAME UR BUM AZZ COACHING STAFF..
CHAMPS PERIOD!!
jaime chiefs with an * but ya champs
Now do a video on how the chiefs payed the referees
DopeShits LoL salt💀
Keep crying loser! 😂
@@ChiefBlue4298 Chiefs didn't make 49er's from running the ball and the referee's called the Chief's TD reviewed and Confirmed. It NFL has turned into a passing league with RULES TE KITTLE no fully extended push offs. IF SAN FRANS QB WANTS TO PLAY FOR A RUN UNLESS YOU HAVE TO PASS....YOU BETTER BE READY TO COMPLETE PASSES, OR YOUR TEAM IS ONE DIMENSIONAL. GREAT IF YOU CAN WIN THAT WAY, BUT I FIND IT BORING AND YOUR WR, & TE ARE OVER PAID PAY RB MOSTERT, 4 TD AGAINST G.B. QB MONEY 49er's running so much ANYONE CAN HAND THE BALL OFF 90% OF THE TIME
Brennan McKinney im not crying cheater 🖕
I am poor, and I would buy Mahomes a drink, knowing he is stupid rich.... I'm not sure what that means.... but.. there it is.

Jacob Maisch Born in ‘68. I was one when they went to SBIV. I have been waiting for a long time, but I can’t help but feel like that when I see some excited 18 year olds celebrating.🤣
Lmao you got so many names wrong
“Colin” Saunders... who else?
@@nflrt you murdered Tanoh Kpassagnon lol but that's okay everyone does including his teammates
Yeah that one is tough
refs handed it to them all season
u chiefs fans should thank the refs
CuongT you should kiss my ass. We all know the refs are horrible every game not just games the chiefs are in.
CuongT keep crying bub
Allot of praise should go to John Dorsey , bc he did draft Tyreek hill , Travis Kelce and hunt even though hunt fucked up and Mahomes.
3:30 "But Matt Cassel had his own contributions to Chiefs and led them to a 2-14 record " 😂😂😂
8:19 "In that trade of Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins, the Chiefs were able to acquire promising young cornerback Kendall Fuller who arrived in Kansas City just in time to be part of one of the worst defenses in NFL history."
😂 is that not what happened?!
🤢🤮
How about those chiefs
