This was such a well put-together show. The 1st generation cast was like lightning in a bottle (Nathan, Simon, Curtis, Kelly & Alisha). Everyone seemed to work well with each other. Then, once the 2nd group of kids started to gel (Rudy, Finn, Jess, Alex & Abby), they were just as good, in my opinion. Lots of credit to the show writers, absolutely brilliant work.
totally agree, i absolutely hated rudy when he first came on (mainly cause he was replacing nathan, and i wanted nathan back), then warmed up to rudy as the rest of the cast left and the newbies came in. I was really annoyed watching the new characters, but when i settled in to the new characters, i grew to love them, and i cried for Rudy in the series finale. That just shows the great character development that the show had
@@brittmcv21 You're 100% right, I think I already watched the 5 seasons 6 times and I think that most of the people (mainly those who watched it live on TV which was not my case) were disappointed after Nathan left (I agree, I felt the same) and since they had to wait every week to get a new episode WITHOUT Nathan they just left the boat but if they took their time to learn more about the new characters (once again it's easier if you can watch some in a row) they would have loved them too, maybe not as much or just in a different way but they would, such as apparently we both did !

I know that Iwan Rheon (Simon) also plays Ramsay Bolton on Game of Thrones, but I just noticed that the guy who plays Pypar is also in there (1:58) awesome haha

This was pretty cool, to see how the characters are in real life. And hey, good shows don't last forever. Seasons 1+2 were the best, they coulda capped the show right there.

Rudy is good but he'll never can replace them. I'll finish the last few seasons but I do not think I will watch them again one day, the first 3 yes but not 4 and 5. It really sucks because it was a fu****g good show, it was so great at the beginning! It's gone in any direction, unfortunately. And now we're all crying.
We've had some pretty good remakes of UK shows here in the States, but I really hope they don't touch this. There's no way anyone else could even come close to doing this justice.
