Dang, when I was a kid, I wanted to try to attempt this, but my dad said it would be practically impossible. Well, it took another 20 years... But I'm glad someone finally did it!
That group was landing a quadcopter drone, more or less vertically. Guinness probably considers at a different category than a classic RC plane. (It was shaped like a fight jet, but if you watch the RapidNadion video, up close you can see it is essentially a quadcopter drone). Still awesome though.
They weren't landings, they were falling with style! If the carrier was to scale it would have been a different story, but loved seeing the Grumman come in though.
Not a record as sure the RC plane landed on the carrier, but the carrier is being towed not RC as claimed so record should be void as not as claimed!!!
Wind was to bad also RC means that it can be remote controled, thats like saying that if you are towing a car, that it isnt an car bc nobody is driving it while its moving.
@@Kiwiaviatornz then that’s a faulty design. “RC” by definition is remote controlled - keyword “remote” therefore anything else used to control the aircraft makes it not remote controlled, even if it’s a rope to keep it steady from the wind. It had assistance from the rope therefore not completely remote. This should be disqualified.
@@jondeak 1. RC by definition is radio controlled. 2. As long as it is capable of being radio controlled it still is classified as a RC boat, you are basically saying if a car is being towed it should not be classified as a car

Impressive, and he didn't use a tailhook either, like real aircraft carriers would!
He actually did fit one it just never worked. You should check out his full video!
he didnt use a tailhook but he did use "crashing into a part of the carrier", that also stops the planes lol
*crash landing
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing 😉
Ayyy it's project air
@@Project-Air Totally agree

So glad to see him on the GWR channel this is awesome!
Nice. Give this guy a job at space X
Great moment... Very hard work, again you trying another record... All the best guys. I Love you 💓

Nice job! Very cool! Love the F4U!
Not the first. A group called Rapidnadion did just that 8 years ago.
Blablsbla

I'm surprised this hasn't been done before! Now, you've set the bar for others to beat. Congratulations, while it lasts....
it has been infact 8 years ago
To do it earlier than him?
WOW! That's Lot Of FUN!!!! 😄
cool!
Congratulations PA!🎉
I love your videos ❤❤
Nice Job!
Wow 👌 Amazing 👏
Well done , a fun challenge. Looks like there was a lot of work in preparation.❤
With a tailhook and cables on the deck and enough attempts you can make a clean landing
Good video and achievement ❤
😮
wow😮
If he'd just use a tailhook, like they do on real aircraft carriers, it would be easier to land it rather than "crash" it right?
Cool very well done I would of use foam under the wheel half showing wheels a a some elastic band and a metal hook to grab.
Wow
❤
❤
you guys dont imagine how hard this is
good job to the team
Wow impressive

Air hook? I mean thats a basic thing on aircraft carriers. Wouldn't that have made it cleaner and easy?
Dude i saw this not long ago how tf did i never knew this was enevr made until now
Sheesh
you did not land.. you crashed each time on the deck.. so, keep trying
I've seen bigger

RC Aircraft Carrier? I see some wood in the shape of a miniature aircraft being pulled by a boat. This is not a world record,.
It is RC, the winds were too strong so the carrier kept spinning so they decided to tow it slowly with the boat

@@Kiwiaviatornz sorry, no analogy will change my mind. Guinness is lying and should change the description. It was towed by a rope. Simple as that.
@@Kiwiaviatornz exactly, @jondeak pliz shush, you would not be ablea to put two piece of wood together so stop judging
This needs to be removed. This guy was not the first person to do it.
I actually had this idea long before he did. Hate this guy
