The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Andrés Segovia an extraordinary guitarist, in a league of himself, introduced by the legendary Ed Sullivan who always presented the best of the bests in his great television program.

      Andre was great, of course.
But if you think there weren’t players who blew him away you haven’t been paying attention.
Go listen to the flamenco masters, Andre had none of the fire in his playing.

Sadly, many don't understand why this man's playing was so mind blowing on occasion. You have to try it for yourself and even getting to a place where you might try requires so much time, energy and skill.
That's how it is though. Some of the most difficult chords and fingerings will always take a back seat to flamboyant tricks for many. He has peers for sure but they aren't the ones many would think of.
If that's you, think of playing the most insane game of Twister but with your fingers and you have to stay "on beat" while also doing it for long periods of time. 🤣 Hope that helps.

I played the same piece , and I always come back to this video to improve on how I should play it. Segovia is one of the best classical guitar players of all time.
