- Learn how to graph horizontal ellipse which equation is in general form. A horizontal ellipse is an ellipse which major axis is horizontal. When the equation of an ellipse is written in the general form, we first rewrite it in standard form using completing the square. After the equation has been rewritten in the standard form, we then graph the horizontal ellipse, by first identifying some of the properties of the ellipse including the major radius and the minor radius and the center. These properties enables us to graph the ellipse.

thank you for helping me get through quarantine schooling!!!!
I failed my math class this year and am taking summer school to try and get a better grade. So far I've managed to pull a 91% (as compared to my 54 for the year). Every time I have some problem with the service I use, like it not explaining how it got several different numbers, this guy has a video explaining exactly what I don't get! I've been able to actually learn everything I missed and I'm starting to have hope! I wish my teachers were like this when I was in Algebra 2 and Trig.
Heya! How you doin nowadays?
My life depends on his videos. Exams tomorrow and i have atleast 2 hours left to review ellipse, parabola, circle, and hyperbola...
Never worked for me. It's hard to be a slow learner lol
@@banshi6224 bro im slow learner too when it comes to math..
Having digital exams atm and I'm stuck in how to do this one
same here but a year later lol
@@monkeypotato goodluck bro you can do this.. I managed to pass it xd
Yes!!! Thank you so much! I've been trying and trying but I couldn't figure it out on my own. I'm in highschool precalculus and I have a quiz tomorrow!
Thank you sir Brian for the lessons. You've been helping me in math through your videos. Thank you!
1:22 Y minus K Chris...
Good Video btw helps a lot thank you!
I thank you Mr. Brian. Finals are tomorrow and I was saved.
I have my finals tomorrow and this helped so thank you!!!
Hello jhony sin thank you
For your tutorial.
OMG! My math teacher rushed through this topic (and about 5 others) in 2 days because my provincial exam is friday and his exam was...well today....a portion of the class skipped his exam because we were destined to fail it. Your vids helped me with most of the stuff that got thrown at us, the only thing I couldnt find was triangular proofs and more advanced logs. I was able to figure out the circle geometry stuff (similar to this) after watching this vid too. THANK-YOU! ADVMATH12 prv. exam inc.
R u alive
He saves my time really. thank you so much
Great sir! Your video worked after 9 years for a kid like me.
Love it
how do we do this conversion when xy terms are present,
I'm aware it would imply it's tilted
using this as notes for my quiz tomorrow 👍👍 finally understand this material!! =D thank you🙌🙌
Thank you so much for the help through COVID!
You explained this so clearly. Thank you.
Thank you so much, you saved me from math dark times :)
But what if there is a fraction on the end, I cannot reduce? May I let the prefactor be? Thank you so much for the help anyway!
You help me a lot, thank you
Thank you so much sir brian it really helps me alot
Thank you so much :)
thank you
A legit way of passing female students who are failing
Thank you very much sir😉
taking math test rn, ty
thank you!!!!!
you're great
How to do you get the 9 pls explain
What if xy term get included?
thank you🍑🍑💅
where did the 6y came from?
does this guy actually have a class or is he just some crazy guy?
how come he didnt factor the 8? in "x^2 -8x" ?
but he factored the 30 in the y side of the equation?
Why does 100 cancel out 5???
Wait how did you get 20?
100÷5
this is 3 years ago, but the reason it become 20 because 5/100 if you reduce it, it will become 1/20.
It's not 100/5 that is just wrong.
wait actually I think I got, we gotta replace x and y such that xy terms gets canceled by rotation of ellipse and therefore continue the same procedure
If if the answer isa not 100 what if it's 97...hiw would you deal with that?
I love you, bald men are so smart 😃🥰
appreciate it daddy
👀 happy to help
where did he get the 20?
5÷100 is 1/20, you don't have to put one outside the parentheses because it doesn't change the variables inside the parentheses. Thats why you don't see 1(y-3)²/20 because it just have to be (y-3)²/20.
how did he get the 20?
How did he get the -6?

if he was my teacher i should be a college professor by now....
He is like Walter White of math
But my teacher standard form is (x-h)^2/(a^2)+(y-k)^2/(b^2)
hoy did you get (x-4)²
(X-4)^2= x^2-8x+16
Ghntaa
😀👊
It's so basic...
Hi
