  • Just a video about some new chargers I purchased. Also a quick tip on how I store and discharge my lipos with a charger. Please be safe with your lipos and always charge while you are within sight of your charger and lipos. Things can go south real quick but if you maintain your batteries they will be safer than most want you do believe. Just don't take them for granted and keep them storage charged when not in use. I like to check my lipos at least once a month to top them off and check for bad cells that have discharged while being stored. Always dispose of lipos properly. Make sure they are fully discharged before disposal. Some battery stores accept old discharged batteries for recycling. Do not throw in your trash bin. Thanks for stopping by!

I do not bother to storage charge batteries! I do however, have my flight software and radios set to notify me when cell voltage drops to 3.55 volts under load. When I land, the cell voltage is around 3.8 volts and I store the batteries at that voltage. I also have a ton of the little battery meters that plug into the balance port on the battery and are set to the same voltage. The alarm goes off at between 3.55 and 3.65 which gives a resting voltage of around 3.8 volts. I do this because I have hundreds of batteries and I would be spending all of my time on battery maintenance!

I barely ever storage charge myself. I usually use charged batts to charge low batts and also to charge things that I need charged. That way I never waste a charged batt by just discharging without transferring the power to another device like my phone/Bluetooth spreaker and such.

How does the storage mode work with g-tech? It’s asking me to confirm the balance?

Sorry brotha dont own any G tech batts. Maybe it wants you to set the voltage your charger will balance your batteries to?

And for the love of God do your research before you buy products. If you hear that you're probably already that smart so please spread the word to those that aren't. Let's make the hobby safer and stop all the damn unnecessary fires!
