Mirror's Edge - my favorite
After listening to "Never surrender" multiple times in the last 2 Months, i'm happy to announce that i now bought all the other D666 albums on vinyl too and they really grew on me. Especially "Wildfire". Cool stuff. Will see them live next month in Deutschland.

This is a 10/10 metal album. Kick-ass riffs, in your face songs, atmospheric mid-tempo songs, thrashy, melodic, versatile. Fucking love it!

This album is so phenomenal it made me very emotional. I banged my head, read and learned the lyrics and literally had tears of happiness.
But hey that's metal and I absolutely adore this band!

Their solos are consistently so beautifully heavy that I get very emotional, too. That's true art, right there.

Strong ‘album of the year’ potential here, it’s a different approach but at the same time unmistakably Deströyer 666.
A phenomenal new album for sure, but for me those last four tracks were total perfection back to back.
They definitely went more in a full thrash metal direction didn't they? I'm getting lots of early throwback thrash vibes from it. It's always been a heavy element in their music so I would never doubt they do it proper justice.

A very different album from their old stuff, but it still sounds great! I honestly think it was good Destroyer 666 changed up their sound because Keith's vocals have declined over the years, and I think if he tried to played like Unchain or Phoenix now, it just wouldn't sound good.
Sounds like a combination of Priest, Motorhead and Running Wild with a handful of blackened element, good shit \m/!

Wasn’t really excited for this album at first because the leaked tracks were a bit weak. Now after listening to the other songs this album sounds awesome!

Listening to this album one has the impression that Destroyer 666 writes songs with such lightness, and all the time great passion. Excellente job guys ones again.
The development of D666 is just unique. I had an opportunity to listen to the entire discography from the beginning of the week until this point. I must admit that “Wildfire” is the best album, but I will “Never Surrender” listening to the latest one. Great job, D666 & Season of Mist. You never disappoint! Keep it up!
Wildfire is my favorite as well and this is basically wildfire pt. 2 and I am OK with it.
I can't say which album is better , but with Never Sourrender -D666 delivers us powerful decimate on other fields of battle that they never explored before, killers chorus, back screams, develoments of scales and harmonies , devastating sound , mighty mixer job and KK give us a clean death on tremolo riff=rhythmic with his unique distortion sound without abusing mixer efects ...Never Surrender is another unique D666 albums among all from the past.

Phoenix Rising is their best album (Rise Of The Predator, I Am The Wargod (Ode To The Battle Slain), The Eternal Glory Of War and Lone Wolf Winter)), Wildfire is a strong one too (Traitor, Live And Burn, Hounds At Ya Back, Wildfire and White Line Fever). Never Surrender is a bit lower, but not bad, and there are bangers on it (Andraste, Pitch Black Night, Grave Raiders and Rather Death), it reminds me The Merciless album from Aura Noir which is more Thrash than ever but still Black/Thrash Metal, same feeling here !
im sorry but i must disagree. The atmosphere, riffage, creativity and energy that radiates off of Unchain the wolves makes it Destroyer's Magnum Opus
Been a fan for decades. Even though this is wildfire 2.0 it's not a bother to me. This project is more then one song, one album (I love Wildfire for the record). This music has gotten me through tough times and many more to come. The wolves never tire, never sleep and never surrender !

i like guillotine, pitch black night, and mirror's edge. the rest are treading water to me. I'll still get it cause I get almost anything d666 (except Call of the Wild EP, sorry). I was always one who appreciated the faster tracks on Cold Steel and Defiance more than the slower/mid-paced ones on Unchain the Wolves and Phoenix Rising and Terror Abraxas.
