I've been listening to Whitechapel since the Somatic Defilement and I have to admit I feel like as I've grown and matured, their music has grown and matured separately with me. I love this new album to death \m/
This is a side of whitechapel I've never heard, it's still as brutal as ever but they've added a huge element of melancholy to it that fits great. Reminds me of the faceless
They never seaze to amaze me. The songs just speak to me on a whole new page. This is why Whitechapel is my all time favorite band, hands down.
probably my favorite Whitechapel album of all time!
It does NOT compare to This Is Exile or Somatic Defilement. Those 2 albums are what made their name. So, no, this is not their best.
@@jgttech That is your opinion. I agree with Chris, as I'm not a deathcore fan but this album is simply amazing.
@@jgttech shut up
r00t hkr you are sheltered
@@jgttech that is ofc totally debatable as even the band members dont really like TSD anymore
Im was not a whitechapel fan but this album is over the top !! I bought it once i heard its greatness.
I cant stop listening to hickory creek
That song hits home so fucking hard for me. And I know it does for Phil as well
I remember skateboarding home one day in like 2009 I saw a CD on the side of the road it was this is exile
I took it home and listened to it. They have been my favorite band since that moment. And my biggest inspiration in music
Now in 2 months my band will be playing at Rocklahoma
Owe it all to whitechapel
I will be there whats your band name
@@codyadams4262 my band is Alterblood
We will be playing the darkside stage Saturday right after the Wet T-shirt contest!
@@braxtonmarshall1883 ok sweet I can't wait I know I want to see the wet t-shirt contest
shit man, that coincidence of someone dropping it off a side of the road, you finding it, then listening to it and then actually enjoying it was like one in a billion, better appreciate it
it's suprising how such trivial thing could affect a person's life
@@Vestki7 yeah man it's crazy
Actually funny thing about that story is when I went home and put it in my stereo started listening to it. And I cleaned the fuck out of my room lol
So now everytime I clean I throw on some whitechapel
Whitechapel remains one of those bands that just gets better with age. When I was younger I didn't appreciate them as much as I do now, though over the years out of pure luck, I've seen whitechapel more times than any other band without even trying to. Every time their show was impeccable. absolute fucking monster performers.
Not the biggest death/metalcore fan but I strangely find myself coming back to this album quite often. It's really good.
Never listened to Whitechapel. I'm enjoying this album a lot. Thanks Enterprise Earth for leading me here. Sometimes the rabbit hole youtube autoplay travels is for the good
This album makes me wanna go to the woods and fight a black bear
lost shadow hah nah hunt a hammer head shark only to use his head to chop wood lol
Why not Doom Woods
What's up Khabib?
Lol, fuck yeah
Why not go to alaska and fight a polar bear instead.. Or spar a killer whale in the arctic waters
They made a lot of new fans with this one for sure. Fantastic album 9/10
I'm so glad Phil's starting to utilize his highs more often
Dear Whitechapel, After all your albums, you surprise me again and again. Ffs you're a beast
Loving this whole album, definitely a whitechapel fan now!
Used to see Whitechapel in Nashville at Rocktown on 8th Avenue all the time. Great mosh and crowd interaction and environment!
God I love Whitechapel. Such an amazing band. Love what phil and the rest did with this. Especially the clean singing. 10/10.
This is a great album. I love how they explore and mix different genres of metal. One of the best records I've heard in a long time.
Para mi sentir este es el mejor album saludos desde 🇦🇷🇦🇷
Definitely gonna be up there as my album of the year.. what a phenomenal masterpiece! Well done to the whole band! I’m beyond impressed
This was easier then going all the way out to the car and getting it out of the CD player. Support this album!
I blasted this album daily on my way to and from work for months. Loved it. Bought the physical CD too.
How does a band improve so much in a single album!? This is leagues beyond anything I've heard from Whitechapel before
Combination of maturity and evolution imo.
I'm on 'Brimstone' right now. Fucking brutal. This band has really come into their own with a completely original sound and progressive tendencies. You know when your listening to Whitechapel. Even if you haven't heard it before. There is no mistaking this band..
I'm Liking it. Lovelace sticks out for me on the first listen thru
defintely gonna get this CD.
This album is phenomenal. Must’ve been tough writing and making I’m sure, but I also can’t imagine how therapeutic it must’ve been as well. I’m already speechless with this album so if you guys can go beyond this with the next one, I don’t even know, I’ll buy you guys Olive Garden. But y’all deserve all of Garden with this one too.
i used to hate this album but after seeing it live and giving it a couple more chances, i love it
i didnt expect the day i enjoy whitechapel again but man i love the album. it flows so well that even the first few songs they released which i thought boring even sounds good in the contexts! great job whitechapel!
Hickory Creek is absolutely fantastic dude
Wow. The ability to stay whitechapel but also evolve comfortably with in the same element is amazing. The versatility of this album is also amazing. Its like you get brought along multiple perspectives of a dark timeline. It's beautifully painful and relevant. *claps aggressively*
I am in love with this album. Thank you Phillybo 🖤
Am I the only one who keeps replaying this after it is over? From the first beat, to the last second....this is Wihtechapels maturity through and through.
I feel like 2019 has truly began for me music-wise
Oneof my fav deathcore band since The somatic Defilement. And....
Thas could had be the best whitechapel album, but without history creek. Else, this is pure gold \m/
I slowly stopped listening to WC after "This is Exile" it became very redundant and was only a shell of the first two albums. This album however... This album is absolutely amazing!! i have been listening to nothing but this for the last 3 days. Way to go boys!!
The breakdown in we are one is the best I've heard all year
Hickory Creek has major Perfect Circle vibes (Thirteenth Step album in particular)
Friendly Neighborhood Plague Doctor truuuuuue
Yea, there's heavy MJK vibes to Phil's cleans.
@@DragonKnightX12 MJK is the similarity that I thought of also. Phil could do worse than be likened to Maynard’s cleans.
This album brings me to the place I try so hard to escape. The beauty in tradgey is heartbreaking but comforting. I'm sorry Phil.
I get what you mean. It's such a sad and heavy album but it's beautiful too
I love the venomous fury. I relate (wish I only sang about it though).
Parkway Drive should take notes! This is how you evolve your style without loosing yourself in the process! Well done.
Oh stahp lol Parkway's last album was incredible..
Erik Oliver lol no
@@TheJackal159 ok lol
@@HOSTvallo it's only good live being there is unbelievable.
@@zachward777 being where live? Parkway?
I never really listened to Whitechapel before this, because I always thought their riffs and whatnot were so random and it hadn't sounded melodic AT ALL. But listening to it now, and listening to whatever lyrics I can decipher, this really hits home with emotions. Apparently this album is supposed to be their frontman's past, and I can't imagine how much pain he went through. I really enjoy this album, and shoutout to my friend Joseph for always wearing a Whitechapel shirt in school.
I am fucking blown away by this album, not a single bad song on the track list. I honestly wasn’t a major fan of Whitechapel before but this might just change that fact, because holy shit is this good.
Taylor Gallant lmaooooo
Taylor Gallant you’re not any better by hurling insults, trump supporter.
Taylor Gallant lol! You’re a ignorant clown, kid. You don’t know me. At least im not a closeminded tryhard who’s using mommy’s computer to shit on other people’s opinions.
Mouth full of lies The story tears my skin. We pray but it takes our breath away. Burnt beyond life the world keeps boiling. Most live forever but it all ends within us. the last time we saw our savior was on the cross. he never came back for his children. Our beloved earth burns like hell as we live our so called free will lives.
This album, especially the bonus track, Sea of Trees, hits too close to home, and matches up to too many events in my life, for me to buy and listen to regularly;
Don’t get me wrong, it sounds great, and it’s amazing compared to most of their music after This is Exile, but this album just takes me back to a place I don’t want to go to...
Great job, great album, most real music they’ve made in recent times, but damn, this is hard to listen to if you can relate to his story. 😔
Thought it might be cathartic to hear somebody (whose talent you appreciate) has had similar tribulations. Hope you’re doing well.
Wow... An album where I like every song. Worlds first to me!
Been a fan for a long time now. This band inspired me to have my own. This album is hands down their best release, I'm so astonished.
you know as someone i think i can relate to Phil alot i grew up basically the exact same way
This album is my introduction to this band. Shit, I'm too late.
Mr. Ozz their older stuff is 100% better. I’ve been here from the start.
SAME LOL... and already listened to all their albums
this is their fucking peak you can feel the emotions through the lyrics and music
This is my favourite album, although I must admit I haven't perused their entire discography. I found some of their older stuff to be more "predictable", less original than this album, which I really like.
This is just perfect. I've jammed this album twice, maybe more, a day since it dropped. I'll see you in May @ The PressRoom
