You really know how to show a car, Joe. Not only do you show the engine, and tell about it, but you actually rev it up, so we can hear what it sounds like. Very clean, and detailed. Next video, let's see a drag pass. :D
Will a stock 1980 Turbo Trans Am actually make the said horsepower and torque it says it can produce? If not what upgrades of yours will be needed to have it produce the 210 hp and 345 tq?
A stock 301T can produce the net hp rating of 210. That rating was at the crankshaft. A properly running, stock 301T usually produces around 170-180 hp to the wheels. With some bolt on mods, it is possible to get the hp up to 210-220 hp to the wheels. With serious mods, we achieved 300 hp to the wheels. Check out my other videos showing the mods.
@@The_Bandit.1997 Yes. The water injection is necessary to run higher boost on 93 octane pump gas. The higher boost is what makes more power. The water injection is only activate at 9psi and higher. It is not on all the time.

Has anyone compared the 1980 W72 301 to the 1980 301 turbo? The W72 301 was rated at 170hp and used the 301T block.
