These videos attract a lot of nostalgic "older NL was better" folks. Sure, deep down inside i am one of you, but please refrain from bashing the contemporary NL content. We loved the consistently concentrated format of the NLSS, but the banter skills have not degraded in any of the crew, and we still see them making magic together quite often. Don't PepeHands because it's over, malfSmile because it happened.
I am deeply impressed by how despite the maturity and character of this man growing consistently over ten years he's still able to make the same silly childish jokes and have them be funny as hell.
NL is absolutely amazing when he has people to converse with. I still yearn for the days of unlimited banter; since I stopped watching for several years when all his co-hosts reduced themselves to dust and it was just NL. New NL is a lot higher quality but there was something very special about an NL, Nick, and Josh stream. (AlpacaPatrol was probably my favorite though.)
Thank you so much for uploading this. I got into NL around the 2013 Ds1 era. And this is such a welcome nostalgia trip. It's funny that NL said in 2013 " I want to be more zany and more professional" that comment aged like fine wine, i feel like he is the embodiment of that now a days.
As someone who started watching NLSS in spring 2014 because of NL playing EU4 with Quill18, it already felt like there were 10 years of lore to learn about to understand all the inside jokes and references. also I miss the intros, I still remember getting home from afternoon shifts and hearing these intros as the NLSS was starting at 11 or 12pm depending on the day. 3 hour comedy show with 2-6 guests nearly every time, 3 times a week for years. Man we didn't know how good we had it lol.
To this day, this man has instilled in me The Unwritten Rule of The Deli Counter. Mostly I never have the need for more than 2 kinds of meat. But if I ever even start looking around at anything more, I feel the ghost of NL’s past looking over my shoulder, judging me.
I spent a very large chunk of my adulthood listening to NL, Nick and Josh play games. I really liked Nick and NL’s dynamic when it was just them. Those goofball goals days were amazing.
Adding to the personal thanks to you Mr Egor. The librarian is getting all the love lately and granted he's got the time to put in the work and deserves the cred, but a lot of us have been watching a long time and grown older with less time to commit to these kind of hobbies. Your stuff and toastytoes was super helpful and entertaining for a ton of us. As you said in the pin, we all do miss the nostalgic purity of those times, both for the content and where we were in all our own lives, but its pretty cool that the egg is still out there being hilarious and a great source of entertainment while we ignore more pressing duties, studying many years ago, and cleaning or focusing on our own tasks while we hear NL talk about his these days.
Egg is a part of my life. Middle school to college years of listening to funny isaac videos on the bus rides to and from classes. I miss the earlier Arcs but do enjoy the new content as well. No matter how many new editors rise up, I still find myself rewatching classic GoodEgor videos for my nostalgia fix. Thank you too, GoodEgor. For compiling all this content under one home
He's been with me since Dark Souls one videos. But I sadly have lost the interest in the new content. I will usually play some of his banter compilations that fans have done once every quarter though Edit: Also to add to this, he's the guy I learned English from back in middle school and high school
I'm 27 now, almost 28. I started listening to NL near the end of highschool, I caught a lot of those ancient NLSSes live (I even won a trivia game once). I've been on-again, off-again watching his content ever since, recently not as much because life is life but every once in a while when the stars align and there's a vod of a game I'm interested in and I have free time, I'll watch. However, through NL I started watching other streamers, some of whom I met the absolute best friends of my life in their communities. Some of us got there through NL and we all reminisce over old vods. I've met these people in real life, I've moved in with one of them when they needed a place to stay. NL literally changed the trajectory of my dang life, indirectly.
No shit, I literally pulled up your channel yesterday for the first time in years because I wanted to see what content you had made since the NLSS ended. Very happy to see this post, I used to watch all of your Quiplash videos on repeat while I was working night shift at a gas station by myself back in 2018.
I never really watched NLSS content. I used to watch NL only for his issac LP on RUclips and I guess when I grew out of it I missed out the whole entire NLSS arc. Thank you guys for continuing to keep his old content alive. It really is crazy how NL shaped me as I grew up as I get such nostalgia from this as it is reminiscent of old NL content. Also it helps my understand more of how his content changed from then to now, and I understand why - much like us he grew older.
I finally understand MALF from the "The technology was themseles" clip. He's saying that to aliens, the dinosaurs couldn't discoer the technology we hae today because we used their bones as fuel to do that
I wish I had more time these days to catch NL live but man these comps take me back. Can't believe it was 10 years ago I started playing Dark Souls because of this guy.
I remember coming back home from college and being pumped on Wednesday! I can't remember if that was eventually Josh day, but from pushing your grandma down the stairs after eating ravioli to watching him grow as a person as an adult and parent. I am glad he has been here for so long because I needed some fun. I felt like I joined their Skype call (ikr) and was hanging out with friends. Obviously I love every one that was in this video and NLSS community the actual Live Super Show had such good chemistry, catastrophic hilarity. If you sent me back to 10 years I wouldn't change a thing (In terms of watching RUclips I am ok lol). Much needed love and fun that shined through these videos, thank you for all of it. And all of you making these highlights, it is so much fun to get a breath of people being upset about the deli rather than talk about almost anything nowadays. NLSS 10/10 - London 2012
Love GoodEgor, love Librarian, love all of the other channels having made edits about the NLSS crew over the years. But Northernlion Edited was my bread and butter, and this hits all of those classic videos they posted. Thank you for compiling all of these hits into one video. I promise I'm going to rewatch this video at least 5 times every year for the rest of my life.
As someone who only started watching NL content a few months ago, it's CRAZY to see how much his voice has matured over 10 years. 2013 NL and 2023 NL sound like completely different people.
That is not "maturing", it is the result of several infections and hospital stays. Simon of the Yogscast also had a very serious bout of recurring strep throat that made him unable to do many of his famous character voices, and in his own words, "changed my voice forever". Getting seriously sick when you get older has a good chance of actually changing you permanently.
I humbly request an XCOM supercut, of any of the XCOM playthroughs. It's one of the few goats that hasn't had the Egor treatment. Also glad to see you back with a banger.
Hoo boy, I've really been lagging behind on NLSS content, huh? I guess that's just what happens when you have a job I suppose, but maybe one day I'll be able to catch back up. This brings back a lot of great memories, and I'm glad to see Ryan's still going strong and that there's still a whole plethora of funny moments! Awesome compilation!
haha I totally feel you with getting a job. only so many hours in a day to give to YT and the egghead himself. glad ur still around though yeahwhateverman, your compilations were and still are funny as hell👍
Glad to see you back and doing ok. While I don't watch him as much as I did when I was younger I still enjoy his banter and content. NL was definitely a big part of my life growing up as I was mostly shut in watching RUclips or playing games. I remember knowing every item in og Issac despite never playing the game. Alot of good memories with him and the nlss crew haha. Thanks for making all this compilation content over the years and doing it as well as you've done. I still sometimes put on the quiplash playlist for background noise as I go to sleep.
God this really puts into perspective how long its been, i see a clip from 2016 or 2017 and feel like its been so long since the clip and think "oh thats not too far back... oh wait that was 7 years ago"

What a blast from the past. I started watching NL for Isaac content back in 2014, and slowly introduced myself to his other series. I haven't been keeping up with him over the last year or so (outside of the occasional video) but the man will forever be one of my favorite people to watch.
Been watching NL since he first played Super Meat Boy! Opened my world to so many games and amazing humor 😂 There was so much hype when it came time for a new Isaac update or Jackbox game. One of my favorite streams ever is still Bombernauts with Dan. This compilation is going to make me very nostalgic.
Northernlion and the NLSS practically raised me when I had no one else. Its incredible to have been a part of something. As much as it hurts me to never exist again, the Northernlion Live Super Show will always be important to me.
So much nostalgia from the golden age. Also makes me feel old that most of my core NL memories are from the mid 2010s. Been around since the start and it's been such a great time. Cheers to the future of banter and nonsense!

As someone who already a grown man by the time the NLSS started in and has never left, just about every era was great. Except the gaming news era, but that was short lived.
I loved the round table lol
