- Dip, dive and flip through the galaxy on your odyssey to the famous North Star. POLAR15 is the new record-breaking Gerstlauer Infinity coaster coming to Oakland Park, featuring a world's first 15 inversions, including a diverse range of elements such as a dive loop, a zero-G stall, a sea serpent roll, a sidewinder and much more! Reaching speeds of 80kmh across 4000ft of track, take a journey like no other on POLAR15, only at Oakland Park.
POLAR15 is yet another completed collaboration project between DJBKoasteRs and Theme Park LB, which is a submission for the 'Planco Madness 2' contest, in which participants had to build a unique terrain coaster, remaining below the tree height. That has to be one of the smoothest coaster layouts I've ever seen in planco! good job on it!
Thank you so much!
This is so good. The layout, smoothness, realism, scenery, audio overlay. This is a PC masterpiece.
I really appreciate it man! 😊
Insanely smooth and the Layout is perfect
Gotta give some credit to Luke for the smoothness in particular, I appreciate your support :)
that was simply stunning.
love also the sounddesign
Thanks so much Rudi! 😊
This is definetly NoLimits2-grade smothness. Its flippin insane.
"flippin" insane ;) Thank you very much man!
@@DJBKoasteRs No, I have to thank YOU for uploading this... and the other channel of course.
I see that you used very short pieces? How long exactly? 1M or 2M? I would never be Patient enough to build a Coaster like this.
@@onion2787 yes! The coaster was built by LB with 1m pieces 🤯 All credit goes to him for that, I would never have the patience to do that myself 🤣
@@DJBKoasteRs And boy, does he deserve the credits.
I can definitly see the Smiler inspiration in this! Though it has some really cool original elements! Great infinity coaster!
Our aim from the start was to beat Smiler's record as the competition gave bonus points for a new world record of any kind. So it would be difficult to not be inspired by the Smiler. But you are absolutely right about the original elements. A lot of people say that Smiler is repetitive, so we tried our best to avoid this. Not had a comment on this for a while so it's so nice to see it's still getting some love. Thank you so much!
This is absaloutely fantastic! I love that you implemented more realistic sounds, I wish we could get sounds like these in the game normally.... Super smooth and a great layout!
I’m glad you liked the sound effects! Thanks for your kind words :)
I also using realism overhaul and I respect you for how long this probably took you. The 1x1 track is super time consuming and the smoothing too. I forgot we were in planet coaster and thought it was no limits. Absolutely a masterpiece my man.
Thanks a lot man! Remember this was a collaboration project, so LB deserves all the credit too 🙌
This is absolutely incredible! You and Luke should be amazingly proud of yourselves for making such a sensational ride! 🙌
Thanks so much!
Omg smooth as silk!
Very Gerstlauer as well, like The Smilers cousin or something!
This is great love how compared to smiler how many turns/ helixs
The audio of the smiler alton tower I remember the roar of a Goschlauer infinity
One of the best
Wooow! I'm speechless
love the b&m trains on an intamin that inverts
oh wait its a gerstlauer Infinity? even better lol
Just imagine the zero car doesn't exist and you have a Gerstlauer infinity train, with lapbars and 3 rows which isn't possible on the "real" infinity train
@@DJBKoasteRs oh ok nevermind i see where you went with this, sorry lol
@@stardustare8292 no problem :)
Amazing layout awesome job
Thank you!
awesomely great
Thanks!
Great design! I can think of quite a few theme parks that would benefit from one of these
Absolutely! We designed a layout with a little bit of everything, aiming to avoid pointless elements, beating Smiler's record, whilst avoiding a repetitive layout. We're both so happy with the outcome :)
Holy crap. Imagine if this was brought to life.
There is a coaster exactly like this at Alton towers UK. Called smiler with 14 inversions.
@@oneactionman I live half an hour away from it and know it well. Not quite as good as this layout
Pure Excellence!!!
Thanks
Btw I just looked at your old rct3 stuff and I'm amazed. Your videos were SO ahead of their time 👏
A lot like smiler. Very cool
Thank you ☺️
This is such a good creation🤯
Thanks man!
Very nice layout and very smooth for a PC coaster (also did you add your own sounds in?)
Yes since it is a very short video, reflecting such a time-consuming project, I wanted this POV to be as realistic as possible, so I did edit in my own sound effects - mainly from the smiler.
I personally don’t really like 1m smoothing (cause it feels kinda cheaty) but this is insane the only real problem I have is that it’s basically only corkscrews and rolls
How did you get this coaster to be so smooth?
Theme Park LB, the other person I collaborated with, did the trackwork, and they used 1m track pieces which I think allows you to manipulate the track exactly how you want much easier
Sensational
Thanks!
this has to be modded no way its that smooth
Well it has been modded by the fact that it was built with 1m track pieces, but this was still built and smoothed by hand.
Nice layout and smooth but why did you used the b&m trains?
Thanks! We used B&M trains as they allowed 3 rows and looked a bit more futuristic. The actual B&M train is almost identical to the real Infinity coaster train, with the only difference being the zero car.
How did you manage to both shape and smooth it to this level? It's beyond Planet Coaster, this is, wow!
All credit goes to LB for the nitty-gritty in the trackwork, but I believe the coaster was initially done and smoothed in 4m pieces, before replacing it with 2m and then 1m pieces, which is now possible with the mods. I'm really glad you like it 😊
So. Many. Heartline. Rolls
6 to be exact. Though this is only 40% of our total inversions instead of 50% that Colossus has ;)
layout looks straight out of planco, themkng straight out of universal, great job both of u!!!!
Thonks
Don’t forget, smoothness of NL2!
Did you use a better camera mod or is this thing actually this smooth?!
Yes.
@@DJBKoasteRs yes what, you used the mod or it's this smooth 🤔😂
@@imaginationsquare yes to both 😂
@@DJBKoasteRs dang :0
What is actually the name of this mod it seems to work really well! (Also I hope it doesn't take any performance, I don't have a great laptop and can use any fps I can)
@@imaginationsquare It's SmootherCameraMod and it shouldn't affect performance because the camera setting is already in the game for the bumper view of that wooden bobsled coaster, but I'm not really an expert so I'd recommend joining this discord server if you haven't already, because there's probably smarter people that can help you there: discord.gg/XnBcqwh9Rn
Il est bezucoup trop fluide
Merci 😁
why didnt u take the infinity coaster cars?
We used B&M trains as they allowed 3 rows and looked a bit more futuristic. The actual B&M train is almost identical to the real Infinity coaster train, with the only difference being the zero car.
What are the records that this ride holds?
Most inversions in the world, with 15
@@DJBKoasteRs Nice! May I please give you a shoutout on my channel?
@@360coasters RUclips is kinda cursed and has hidden this comment from me until now. My answer would of course have been yes but I'm afraid its probably too late now 😃
@@DJBKoasteRs no I haven’t done it yet. I always ask the people I ask and wait for them to reply before giving them a shoutout:)
so its smiler on steroids... even though smiler was already on steroids...
This can top the smilar
Smiler*
Well it's got lap bars for a start 😂
holy shit how long did this take to smooth? the normal 4m method takes me hours for a medium length coaster...
I wasn't the one smoothing but this took LB at least a few days to smooth 🤣
@@DJBKoasteRs props to him, this is the smoothest thing ive seen in this game
@@randomporpoise we both appreciate it!
Polar15 VS The Smiler
I'd take POLAR15 any day of the week ;)
What coaster did you use?
I think it was Barghest (Gerstlauer Eurofighter) with Rage (B&M Hyper) train swap
@@DJBKoasteRs Ok thanks!
@@DJBKoasteRs it’s actually the infinite you can tell with the design of the block brakes
@@Shefinanigans yes you are right! Thanks :)
reminds me of the smiler
I can certainly see why 👀
So, Smiler on steroids?
Yes.
Smiler
It’s not record breaking smiler also has 14 inversion
But not 15 ;)
Coaster is decent
Yeah it's alright :/
use no limits 2 instead...
I play Planet Coaster mainly for the scenery aspect. I would like to still enjoy this as a game rather than just 3D modelling everything :/ Though you could make the suggestion to Theme Park LB who did the track work 😂
Looks nothing like the Smiler
Nope not at all 🤣
This is just a copy of the smiler at Alton towers but the smiler is much better
We copied the concept, but not the layout. The main focus was to reduce repetition, but if you like repetition (and OTSRs), then I could see why you prefer the smiler.
