Lowkey think the big PokémonGo RUclipsrs are getting out of touch with the general public of PoGo’ers… players who are level 48-50 and grind the game as much as Daxi it makes sense to not value the shiny boost but I know the majority of my community is looking forward to that bonus the most. Maybe these videos are made for a different audience nowadays but it’s hard to constantly hear the game is dying when it’s really just players burning out imo…
It's not like he said the shiny bonus was trash or anything, he mentioned it twice and said that may be a reason why you'd want to buy the ticket and implied if you aren't interested in the increased rates then that's one less reason to buy the ticket. He isn't getting out of touch with anything he talked about both sides of the bonus, if you value it and if you don't value it. I feel like your making it seem like he should conform to what you lower level players value when the whole point of the video is to give the overall facts of the entire event and give HIS opinion on it. The other bonus that might make it all worth is getting immediate access to whatever dusk form you chose versus starting with cosmog and having to grind candy to evolve into whichever you chose to fuse.
£14.99/$15 seems slightly steep for slightly better pixels, with pretty much the exact same bonus' as last year too. Only thing that would have tempted me would be the Marshaddow research, but since I disagree with Pokemon being behind a pay wall and since it will probably come free at some point, I will probably not be buying
Marshadow has been my favorite pokemon for YEARS, and no pokemon will ever be better than him, so this 15$ just for marshadow was extremely worth it. Hoping he isn't a 2 star.

I think it also just depends on if you’re an active player. I get on daily, pay attention to events and spawns/bonuses I’m needing or interested in as well as I still just enjoy the game. If you’re not actively playing then you probably won’t care much for this. I’ve always felt like the 15 dollars is always worth it.
I stopped playing when Covid came out and just picked it up again a month ago so I’ve missed out on a lot of stuff so far so I already bought my ticket 😂

I've brought the ticket mainly for the boosted shiny odds, the extra bonuses are great but I've made it my mission to get every shiny pokemon. I've been saving my poke coins and been constantly getting 50 from gyms for the last couple of months just to buy remote raid passes for day 2

Interesting that some countries get much better value from the ticket than others- just did the maths & 18 "free" passes in NZ would be $21, yet the ticket costs $25. Was going to gift my nephew a ticket, but he won't play long enough both days to warrant the ticket price as he mostly raids, so I'll just get him some coins instead, I guess.
Getting a free Solgaleo or Lunala from reasearch is also pretty huge considering, you can’t raid them and you might not have a good cosmog to invest in.
Hey daxi i just wanna say this is a great video and i truly do appreciate how much work you put in i like watching these videos as they boost my hope for these types of events this will be my second go fest and really i see hope for a good time last year global go fest i caught 54 shinies total and was absoultely mind blowing i do these types of events for the shinies and just excercise and to go out more the negative reviews do get to me but i just hope for the best so thank you for this video
in my opinion, the new york city go fest was worth it, you just need to be prepared with a battery pack (to charge your phone) COLD WATER. though they have refill stations for your water bottles, and obviously, dress appropriately.
It is always worth it imo if u are able to play as you get value for money just from free passes and research rewards, granting way more than $15 worth of perks

I can't believe that Niantic still hasn't told us which Pokemon to evolve to get their legacy moves during this event! Last year they let it be known early which was why I held on evolving a ton of my Pokemon who needed their legacy charge moves. Like Metagross with Meteor Mash. I am dying to know this year if we can do that again! This sucks!!!!
If you buy raid passes at the 3 for 250 price then buying 18 actually costs 1500 poke coins, equaling roughly $15, the price of the ticket except that you can't use the free coins earned from gyms to buy the ticket. At the end of the day, do what you want, but the value isn't amazing if you're buying it exclusively for the raids.
tbh i only bought it just because of the 2 pokemon that you quaranteed get from it cuz im a lone valor player in a village filled with instinct, i need anything i can get my hands of to fight this 1 man war.
Notably, someone like my das bought the Whispers in the Woods ticket but doesn't have corsola. Getting the ticket can be good for him if he wants one unless he wants to trade one that I caught.
As someone that doesn’t really care about shinies, I felt like Sendai was nothing special this year. I raided a lot and had multiple problems with the game crashing, loading issues, and GPS errors (Niantic’s help bot is useless). I did over 100 Necrozma raids in two days and my highest was a 96er. On top of that, the region locked Pokémon wasn’t even useful to me. Something for PvP players would have been nice (Skiddo, Hawlucha, etc). I would have liked to have traded for some PvP Pokémon but I was too busy raiding 🤷♂️ These event are for shiny collectors or PoGoTubers and the like IMO. I could have saved all my money and just did the world event and most likely had the same results.
Remember if your goal is shinies. You can ignore almost everything except just shiny checking! Then you have a lower chance of leaving go fest disappointed
I feel like you forgot to say at the end that with the pass you get an encounter with the lion or bat poke and that alone makes it worth it. You said it earlier but not as part on why it's valuable. In the research only available to paid.

Do we need the ticket and the subscription just to raid? I'm asking because I needed one more push to 86 this game for good. I figured I'd ask first because of the time and money I've wasted.

If you defeat one of the fusion necrozma you will catch a normal necrozma with the energy u need to fuse that necrozma with solgaleo or lunala depending on if u did dawn wings or dusk mane
i literally just got the ticket bc of the extra solgaleo/lunara you missed this as a reason on why to get the ticket since i and a lot of others want both forms of necrozma this is the only way (if you dont already have one) to get both necrozma forms raid tickets are never worth buying from these bundles there are like so many different ways in getting a lot of cheap raid tickets

Nobody players have catches XXL and XXS mythical Pokemon are obtained from completed tasks in any special research. For example Mew.
I only got the ticket because of the dusk main and dawn wings Necrozma as I don't have many strong ghost and steel type attackers

If they boost shiny raids almost to comm day levels and just change the raids passes to remote raid passes they will have no problems selling tix

If you do the dusk and dawn necrozma raids do you get the actual dusk or dawn necrozma or just the energy?
If you defeat one of the fusion necrozma you will catch a normal necrozma with the energy u need to fuse that necrozma with solgaleo or lunala depending on if u did dawn wings or dusk mane

since i and a lot of others want both forms of necrozma this is the only way (if you dont already have one) to get both necrozma forms
raid tickets are never worth buying from these bundles there are like so many different ways in getting a lot of cheap raid tickets
Anyone on the fence about the ticket, if you don't buy the ticket...you'll see what you're passing up if you play near someone who has the ticket. It's worth buying, if you don't have the money (I been there), I feel for you...but still plenty to do.
