Good review, I did chuckle when you said, " I wish the pointer holder was on the front."
I was saying to myself, "just put it on your other hip,". 😉👍

@@bigdilldetectin8987 ... Down side is that it’s under your swing arm if you’re right handed. Always elbowing it or hitting the pinpointer with your machine.

@@James-dtexTexas , I'm right-handed, and I swing with my left hand, to free up my right hand to dig and other stuff.

Nice pouch but if you swing with your right arm and the bag is on your left out of the way, the pinpointer is at the back of the pouch. They should make a left and a right side model.

I’ve had mine for several months and really like it. I wear mine on my right side so the pin pointer is up front and easily accessible. The only fault I have is the belt is not very quality and flimsy. Doesn’t hold its shape & folds in half. I wish you could use your own belt and not have it sewn into the bag.

Hands down the Garrett All-Terrain Dig Pouch is my favorite Dig Pouch under $40. I especially like the heavy duty mesh in the Large Rear and Medium Middle pockets that allows dust/dirt/water to exit out the bottom eliminating the need to do a massive interior cleanup after a days outing...

Looks like a nice pouch. I use a digger supply park ranger it holds my pinpointer, my lesche, coin probe and a water bottle. Been using it for about 15 months great bag. They are about 55 bucks and don't come with a belt. You can check them out at colonial metaldetectors.

I'd like the pinpointer in the back. It keeps it out of the way.

i got a cheap pin pointer and it stopped working within an hour, i ended up just getting an expensive garret one. worth every single penny.
the garret has a 5-6 inch radius where it can detect metal and the vibrations and tones are much much better. you can also change the sensitivity on the garret, when you can't on the cheap one.
the cheap one's radius is like half an inch to an inch, and the tones and vibrations feel like a toy. not to mention there is also 0 adjustability to the settings.
      hope you find this useful.

I am confused as to why you would think the pin pointer material and the pocket material are different.

How durable do you find the zippers? If the zippers get mud in them will they separate?
I’m just starting out so just have the basic bag that came in a bundle. This one will go on my wishlist.

Hey Ronda! The zippers are very well made and heavy-duty. I can’t promise anything but it certainly wasn’t a concern during my tests or use…and I beat it up pretty good!!

Way over priced, £40. 95 in UK, bring it down to £20 and I'll purchase.
