    Now, this round latch on the door post, it's not something you'd expect to find on a '77 model. This little anomaly raises so many questions. Was it a custom modification done by a previous owner? Or perhaps ordered the wrong part? Thoughts?

      Probably ordered the wrong part, lol. Tried it and it worked. Left it in.

      A video on the dash layout differences over the years? That sounds like a great idea! Jim would totally be up for diving into that.

    One thing to add. Not all sports came with the chrome body molding, My 70 sport (build date late 69 ) never had it. However sports do come with chrome trim around the windows, head lights and grill. This was a great video. thanks..

      Good point, and thanks for adding that! 👍 Not all Broncos are the same, and those little details really make a difference!

    Hi dumb question but are they interchangeable if you don’t necessarily care about originality? Like is it worth it to drive 3 hours to pick up early bronco doors you found on Craigslist but don’t know if they are from a 66 or a 77?

    Interesting. Never knew the small differences. One thing, my early 66 never had arm rests, still don’t.

      Thanks for watching! It's pretty wild how many small differences there are, right?

    Great video. My Bronco definitely fits the “hob cobbled “ phrase. The body has all the earmarks of a 68 I believe. That would be a great video too. But my entire running gear from trans rearward had D3TZ prefixes on the tags. I wonder how many stock Broncos out there are a combination of different years. And so long as it does have any specific provenance, does it matter? Mine is so far away from stock now there’s no going back. Buts that’s how I bought it . I’m just continuing the trend.

      Thanks for watching! Your '68 Bronco mix sounds super cool. 😎 It's pretty common to see Broncos with parts from different years. Makes each one unique, right? No need to go back to stock if it's already rocking its own style!

      also Ford was pretty notorious for using what they had left over. Probably a good portion of Broncos, especially today with parts from this or that. Likely doesn’t matter at this point.

      I can vouch for part swapping of left over parts. The rear drum brakes on a 1982 escort are from a 63 falcon

    So what your saying is it cost 55 cents to keep the wing window from leaking ? 🤔

    mine is a 74 and has the trim along the sides but doesn't have the sport badge,just bronco,so could it still be a sport or were there other names for trim packages?Thanks jim,peace!

    The other thing that could be mentioned is the key hole on the later years is below the body line.

      @wildhorses4x4  10 месяцев назад

      YES, we missed highlighting that the keyhole position in the later Bronco doors, specifically from 1968 to 1977, was located below the body line!
