I had a similar reaction after doing the front. I’m on my 4th EB and this is the 1st I put one on. One of the best upgrades for your money. Ended up doing the rear kit too.
@@NashvilleEarlyBronco yes but not that much harder than the front sway bar. Drilling through both side of the frame is the hard part of the installation. If I had lift…….
So wanted to see about the Hellwig Bar, but just one correction, there WAS a firstgen Bronco with a Factory Swaybar, and the 1977 I'm deleting right now has one, that being said it's not MUCH of a Swaybar because they clamped the ends onto the Radius Arms only and not the frame, mating the Radius arms does work, but not very well. Just figured I'd put that out there. If anyone looks at their radius arms and sees a single hole through the middle of the Radius arm about 3.5" behind the rear shock mounting that would be your factory Swaybar hole for the rear swaybar bracket that was likely deleted.
@lucasmiguelsports8397 My buddy had a 76 with a factory sway bar. I had a one owner 77 that didn't have a sway bar. Crazy thing was we both agreed my 77 drove way nicer? Same lift and tire size on both rigs🤷♂️
I got both front and back. They are installed but I haven't driven my Bronco yet. In fact, I only drove it 2 miles before the restoration. At that time, it was all original suspension, bushing's... etc. Down bad and all over the road at the time. All this to say, I won't have much reference but I'm really curious if others think the back sway bars made much difference. Maybe you could chime in?@@NashvilleEarlyBronco
I love the honesty of your videos…..Gives the rest of us grace to be human. I have added a sway bar to my 71 and really like it. I freeway drive mine a lot…I mean a lot !! I drove it from OH to NV for the last Super Celebration. I have trouble with puddles on the highway….I really pulls the steering wheel. I drive mine at highway speeds…70-75mph. Any advice around this? 2.5” Toms suspension…1” body. I have the degrees C bushings. I do have a Dana 30. So, no real adjustments there. Thoughts?
I installed the same product on my 1970 Bronco. What did you do about the tire-to-sway bar rubbing at time 11:03? Did you wind up installing wheel spacers? I have Method MR701 17X8.5/4.75" and Falken 35x12.5 17 tires and am hitting the sway bar on both sides with extreme turns. Thank you.
Instead of moving the bar to the driver side, to clear the pitman arm. Could you move the bar's mounting point inward? Because it gives you holes in the bar for different mounting points? Great video!!😁
I dont understand how the bolt holes didn’t line up? If all the aftermarket stuff bolted up then so should this. Other than that, looks like a great product 👍 I’m looking at getting the sway car system with quick disconnects.
Good vid - I installed mine about a month ago, but haven't driven it since putting a 351W in and doing rear disc brakes at the same time. I'm wondering how much a rear sway bar would actually do on a street Bronco! I own one but haven't installed it as I'd think"not a lot". But gotta install all the bought parts!
been wanting to do this! any advice/opinion on the james duff coil spring retainers with the hellwig sway bar mount vs the way you did it by sliding the bracket under the spring retainer? heard it adds a bit of lift by sliding it under the retainer
@@NashvilleEarlyBronco Yep, they do. I know Duff's has a disconnect setup with the same Hellwig bar, just don't know if it can be purchased on it's own without the bar. Still, I bet it feels awesome on the street now.
@@NashvilleEarlyBronco you did not use the U plates that come in the kit? you just tapped holes directly into the frame? when I installed mine they sent two u plates that are already threaded for the studs that come with it. all I had to do was drill 2 holes ( I have an aftermarket frame without the pre drilled holes the stock frame has)
Glad to see you’re back to working on Nash!
It’s been a while 😂

How was the rear?!?! Equally as impressive or “meh”?
Agree, front sway bar is an easy installation. Currently trying to complete the rear sway bar.
Is it more difficult?

Good to see you back.
Rancho 9000s! Turn them up when I’m on the track 😂. They do work well for all applications.

Some early broncos did have a factory sway bar.
Really? Interesting. I didn’t know that
76 & 77 years only came with front sway bars

From experience: the endlinks are are available in different lenghths based on the lift of your Bronco. When in doubt purchase the longer endlink.
Good tip!
Appreciate all your videos! Just ordered one for Toms and this saved me a lot of time.
Glad I could help!
I was on the fence about putting this on my new build. Now I'm ordering!! I trust you to know.
You won’t regret it!

Thanks 👍 Man, I'm not sure. That sounds crazy.

Yeah I want to see how a rear sway bar helps too
Will the sway bar work with 5" of lift? And glad to see ya back!
I’m not sure

I bet it does. Haven’t heard the difference.
What steering wheel is that? I’m looking for a thicker wooden one.
amzn.to/2NNX4on this one
What about articulation off-road? Does this sway bar have any type of disconnect built in or does it look possible?
This isn’t for Offroad. This will kill your articulation. They make quick disconnect options. I need to get that
@@NashvilleEarlyBronco Yep, they do. I know Duff's has a disconnect setup with the same Hellwig bar, just don't know if it can be purchased on it's own without the bar. Still, I bet it feels awesome on the street now.
You have your end links upside down. The threads should be on the bottom.
Oh interesting. I was following the instructions, but you could be right
@NashvilleEarlyBronco I might not be right, but I'm never wrong as my dad would say . With the threads down, water can't work it's way up.
Is it touching your tire when you’re turning?
Yeah, I had to adjust that
Wait- hold up, did you get a shop? With a lift?
Haha! I’m borrowing some space, and it is awesome
Long arms for articulation, then sway bars to limit? I'm so confused. 😂
Haha! I tend to do that
Are those studs going into the frame? Did you have to tap the holes?
Yeah, you have to tap those holes into the frame
