Fun Fact: Mega Mewtwo Y was the first Mega Evolution to be revealed. However, it's Mega Y was called it's Awakened Form prior to Gen 6
The genesect movie right? Or am i just stupid
@@SugarMeowYT Yep, in that movie
You didn't even mention the fact that Mega Ray can hold an item because it's the only Mega Evoultution that doesn't need a stone, so if you want it to hit harder than you can. Want to set up a little easier? Pack a lum berry, etc.
Mega Gengar being a candidate for getting banned from Ubers before Mega Rayquaza pleases me as a Gengar fan myself
I almost felt bad for my friends because kangaskhan was my favorite pokémon before Crabominable came out.
The gas lighting I did as I power up punched twice in a row was something to behold.
Shoutout to Mega Rayquaza for getting a whole weather condition all to themselves lol
The bigger problem with Mega Kangaskhan, even better than Power Up Punch, was Seismic Toss. Bc it's fixed damage, Seismic Toss always dealt 200 hp, which can shred walls without caring about their physical bulk. That's also why it got sent to ubers in gen 7, despite the ability nerf
Bro, I'm ngl. I thought you were naked. Had to blink twice 😂😂
Dang bro
👀👀👀👀
One other thing to note about Mega Gengar: it could just come in against something that couldn’t touch threaten it, set up, and easily sweep. Being choice locked into a normal or fighting move could just instantly lose you the game
This channel's use of Pokémon Colosseum and Sonic Adventure 2 music is amazing
Mega Evolutions were broken from concept alone since only a few Pokémon got access to one. Most of the popular Pokémon got Mega Evolutions, which most of them were already good Pokémon without them, so they ended up buffing already good Pokémon and indirectly further nerfing Pokémon without them.
If Mega Gengar comes back it is 100% going to be banned from ubers to AG because it got encore NP in gen 8
You forgot to mention that Rayquaza didn't even need a Mega Stone to Mega Evolve like the others, it just needed to know Dragon Ascent. See how much damage Dragon Ascent with a Life Orb will do.
You right that too! LOL
It will probably one shot anything with super effective damage
I’ve always loved Mega Evolutions because of how Digimon it felt, Mega Flygon pleasssseeeeee
Even though Mega Kangaskhan and Mawile were OP as shit, I still like their mega’s, I think the balancing for them definitely could’ve been better but I’m kinda glad that they got mega’s because both of them were pretty low tier Pokémon and it was somewhat nice seeing them get the power boost.
I still miss Mega Salamence, Mega Aggron, and Mega Houndoom those are still three of my favourite Megas even though I know Mega Salamence is OP af, still a mega that I really love and Roaring Moon isn’t a replacement that I really like.
Always enjoy the expanded melee stage backgrounds.
It's why i love lopunny mega or bedrill mega they were here to help these mon but don't overpowered theme
The smash to competitive pokemon pipeline grows stronger each day
This is cool to see. I actually recently made a video about how a lot of megas are just worse options in a gen 9 nat dex setting
He really doesn't surprise me that Mega evolutions are unbalanced. The fact is pokémon as a whole is unbalanced. Some pokémon are literally just made to be stronger than others and the basis for that is just that they are more rare and hard to catch so to make up for all that effort to get them they make them stronger than the ones that are more common. But then there are some that are common that I think are actually pretty damn good like Staraptor. Toucannon as well.
Honest comes with another classic!
It might not be relevant but I made a few mega pokemon concepts myself and wonder if you think they are broken or uber level.
First is mega politoed who becomes a water/ice type with the ability swift swim.
Stats
Hp: 90
Attack: 75
Defense: 85
Special attack: 130
Special defense: 130
Speed: 90
This mega is designed to sweep using the rain that its normal form sets up not only doubling speed but boosting the power of its water stab. This rain is limited however which may or may not be enough to balance it.
Mega milotic becomes water/fairy type and gains the ability serene grace.
Stats
Hp: 95
Attack: 70
Defense: 109
Special attack: 130
Special defense: 155
Speed: 81
This is mainly strong for added bulk and power as well as a new typing. It's serene grace grants it a 60% chance to burn with scald making it effectively defensive in both sides.
Mega porygon z now is a normal dark type with a new ability data corruption. This ability is like a combination of trace and mummy making a random opponent's abilities swap with the user's permanently until porygon z faints. Because porygon z gains the opponent's ability as well, this can only happen once per switch in
Stats
Hp: 85
Attack: 80
Defense: 90
Special attack: 155
Special defense: 95
Speed: 130
This one is potent since for as long as it is alive, it's ability swaps with an opponent's. This makes up for the 4 times weakness and lack of a damage boosting ability somewhat but I think this one is a bit too broken.
Now we have mega castform who gains the flying type and has a new ability weather control which changes its type similar to forcast but also changes the weather when castform uses weather ball using the most effective weather and type before damaging the opponent.
Stats
Hp: 70
Attack: 70
Defense: 70
Special attack: 110
Special defense: 110
Speed: 90
This used to have 120 in special attack and speed but I nerfed it a little. It can be an effective offensive pokemon with the ability to alter the weather although it lacks bulk and speed to make it broken.
Finally I have mega scrafty who keeps the type but gains a new ability underhanded tactics which grants all the user's attacking moves the effects of sucker punch almost always going first but failing when the enemy isn't using an attacking move.
Stats
Hp: 65
Attack: 130
Defense: 145
Special attack: 45
Special defense: 145
Speed: 58
Before this pokemon had to rely mostly on sucker punch itself as well as dragon dance to outspeed and it struggled from that especially since it wasn't that strong or fast. It wasn't that bulky but mostly due to low hp and typing which I didn't fix but now it is potent. Since all moves are like sucker punch, you can use moves like close combat and knock off in the same way and this mon also has swords dance. The biggest problems are the predictability and the bulk sorta.
No way, Blaziken's also my favorite Pokémon.
12:00 correction it had 115 speed.
Mega blaziken is outclassed by blaziken with a life orb
I see Pokemon I click, im a simple man
What song starts playing at 11:00?
What about Mega Metagross?
Beat video ever❤
Kangaskhan is a female man not a male
My b, that slipped my mind.
Moving around a green screen doing topics done to death is not content
Interesting piece of Smogon trivia: Mega Gengar was the first Pokemon to be banned from Ubers.
After the voting happened some funny business went down and the site admin/creator had gotten involved and reinstated Mega Gengar into the tier.
