Can you hold it in your hands when there is hot food/liquids? Does it protect your hands and insulate enough from the heat?
I definitely wouldn't use extremely hot foods in these (only my opinion). As these are ultralight food grade plastic, the heat will eventually radiate to the outside.
But really you want to put your food iin these?

That is a possibility. I am very sceptical of extremely hot liquids and plastic. I think for less than extremely hot, the risk factor goes down.
They look good, but I wouldn't be trusting the plastic, I like my metal equipment
If weight isn't an issue, you can't go wrong with metal. We grew up with really old aluminium plates that were battered but got the job done and housed so many good memories.
