I got the same model about 8 months ago or so. I did replace the slide stop/release and plunger tube spring assembly with Wilson combat parts. I didn’t have a positive thumb safety engagement because the factory spring wasn’t strong enough. It now positively clicks on and off like it should. At first I was having slide lock intermittently while rounds were still in the magazine. Upon inspection I noticed the stock slide lock/release was contacting the bullets while they were feeding up in the magazine. First I filed a little off until bullets no longer contacted it and it fixed it 100%. I then decided it was just a good idea to upgrade that part with Wilson combat bulletproof slide stop just because I know for a fact Wilson’s is a forged part that won’t break in the future. 1500 flawless rounds later after fix/upgrade and I completely trust this pistol. It’s a tack driver to say the least and can compete with 1911’s that cost 2-3 times as much easily. When you get these budget 1911’s you should pretty much plan on upgrading some critical parts to bring it up to a higher performance and long term reliable/durable pistol.
Tisas manufactures top of the line 1911 pistol. If their economy were stronger they would charge more for them no doubt about it. Tisas 1911 pistol’s are not budget pistols
I agree with the comment concerning cheap gun. Too many compare Turkish guns cheap because their guns are compared to dan wesson, Wilson combat, and other $2000 to $4000 guns. Both guns shoot bullets. Bells and expensive whistles are not more deadly. I own a number of tisas and not 1 failure to feed or shoot.
Why do ppl keep saying it’s a budget gun it cost me $450 lol that’s not a budget gun $450 is not cheap in my world. Just because it’s not a Glock or Kimber doesn’t make it a budget gun. This looks like a really nice 1911 be proud you did good. 👍
I just bought the 5 in model. Can’t wait for it to come in. I thought they came in a card board box till now. All the other videos I saw that’s what they came in!
Seems good to me for the price, i just ordered mine tisas duty black 5” black. I cant wait to shoot it. Have you done any add ons or work on it since you got it.? I also hope i get the black case and 2 mags as well. Thatd be nice

Mines has Wilson combat magazines and I put some of that sanding paste to polish my rails and the slide. Polished my feeding ramp. Works like a champ.

Nice!!!
Beautiful side arm
When you find a light that fits on there that will definitely help with your recoil and get used to shooting with the light on it.
