I switched out the old cloudy headlights on my 2004 silverado for some new chrome housings with led bulbs. I order these from amazon and will link below the exact parts I used.

LED'S make a world of difference on vehicle lights, inside and outside. NiLight products seem to be quality built. ✌🏻

The issue with a lot of the new lights is often they are pointed wrong. I find a wall somewhere where I am sitting level and set the top of the beam just a touch lower than the top of the light. I am usually sitting back about 50 feet when I do this measurement. I also make the left beam point a touch to the right so people are not always flashing their bights at me.
If you are pressed for time and money you can use any sort of compound or metal polish to make those headlights light up the road and look a lot better.
The restoration kits are basically that. Not sure why this is in my feed, but I had to say something. Anyways keep posting bro.

I go out in front of the truck about 25' and make sure the hot spot on low beam hits me at my knees, a wall is probably a better solution because you can use a tape line to get both sides the same height. You're going to love the better night vision and the lines and road signs illuminate a lot better with the cleaner bands of light.

@@jwright650 The walls have a mortar line that's a great reference point. There is a distinct cut out line on most beam patterns. It is known as a dot line. Some lens have instructions telling you basically what I just said above more or less. They say level, but I always drop an inch cuz once the truck is loaded the lights will point up a bit. The cops here dont play. If the lights are not right you get pulled over.

The bulbs usually come with an Allen wrench to adjust the bulbs within the housing to help eliminate the glare and adjust the cut line so that it is level.

Confused about conversion kits. You didn't use one. Is that due to the type of LED lights you chose or the headlight assembly you chose?
