A simpler time where sometimes I wish I could stay in forever.. I never, ever read about or seen anything negative, bad, or unscrupulous on John Ritter. He was as good as gold, even better. Never had any problems with substance or alcohol abuse, which was available to people like him at any given moment, and which is typical of huge stars who can't handle the pressures of hell-y-weird. It is a miracle he survived the industry unscathed, and without a single blemish on his reputation or on his physical or mental state. The guy was a comedic genius, a gentle soul, and respectful human being. He had more talent in his pinky finger than 99% of what passes for comedic actors today, and did it flawlessly. I stumbled upon this interview because I've been binge watching seasons of Three's Company on RUclips that I was lucky enough to find, and also found a tv special based all around him that l never even knew existed ! It even featured some of the cast from the 3rd season, which included Suzanne Somers, and Joyce De Witt.. R.I.P John, you are sorely missed, and will be for decades to come.
I been binge watching it too. I was only 3 yrs old when it came out so there are some episodes that I'm watching for the first time. I miss the simpler times too especially what has been going on in America for the past week. I laugh so hard at his episodes and really been enjoying them. I look at his kids now and smile.
absolutely . dittto., I am from India.. saw 3'd co' as an old show on videos! but when i was in the US truly watched his charm- in 2003 old reruns, months later he passed :( till today I still see his show.. I am not even born / raised in the US!!! he was undervalued by the industry.
"the guy was a comedic genius, a gentle soul, and respectful human being. He had more talent in his pinky finger than 99% of what passes for comedic actors today, and did it flawlessly. " WELL SAID,
Ughhh I really love john 😩💕💕😍and that's one thing I really love about john he has such a good vibe and always so nice and so sweet that's why he a virgo such sweethearts ❤I wish he was still alive 🤦♀️
Wow, what an interesting, deep interview. Such an incredible person. Nothing funnier for me as a kid in the early mid 80s watching Threes Company. Own the whole series on DVD to this day.
Kind of hard to hear John talk about death, knowing that he has passed. It's actually been 18 years since we lost John. RIP John. Thank you so much for the tremendous joy you've brought all of us.
I'm a new fan of John Ritter, I'm a new fan of "Three's Company," and, may I say, what a guy! Not only is he an incredible talent, but he has such a genuinely kind and loving attitude about him. I have heard nothing, and seen nothing, but good things about him. What a lovely man. He passed away 3 months before I was born. Never before has a celebrity, who wasn't even around in my lifetime, impacted me so much as to be devastated by his passing. I recently watched "8 Simple Rules," and I couldn't watch past the episodes about John's passing. I was sobbing. John, loving husband, father, friend, and icon, may you rest in peace.❤
I really like this interviewer; she asks questions that take a little guts to ask but are not intrusive or air-headed, then she is quiet while he answers.
John Ritter is one of my favorite comedians of all time!! He was so funny and a great actor! He was great as Jack Tripper! It's so sad that he is gone now. RIp John Ritter!!
All his boyish charm was excellent for anything TV shows and his family is still miss him dearly and his friends are still heartbroken about his death in 2003 and he was one of my favorite people in the entertainment industry and I don't want to cry right now because it will hurt me so much because I really miss him dearly more than I really do since 2003 John Ritter and my dad are buddies in heaven together
He was my first puppy love when I was little, just didn't know it till I was older. I used to pray to God that I could have a son like him. Cant wait to meet him meet him future
@khadraabeeb5007: yes,he passed away on Thursday,September 11th, 2003,almost 20 years ago, now.i remember hearing it on the radio at work the following day,Friday.Seems like yesterday, though. R.I.P. John.
Hearing John Ritter reference the Dead Boys and Carlos Castaneda makes him even cooler. RIP John, thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter into my life!
Hi John Ritter I love you so so so so so much I am so In love with you your show is so much fun to watch and I am so so proud of you that you did In acting❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ love you 😘
I hope I meet him in Heaven, if God wants me to be there. Him & about one hundred musicians, I'd love to hug and have a giant supper with all of them. Talking, laughing, singing, playing instruments...So many talented geniuses in the Arts have gone. In addition, I imagine that Heaven is a ginormous Galleria Mall where every person on Earth finds the things they love and enjoy, and money & credit don't exist. Only sharing.
He was so genuine. When he spoke about being afraid of being hurt, it kind of explains in part why he took it so hard when Suzanne Somers fell out with their show. He and Joyce DeWitt felt like a trust had been broken.
Will always love and miss him, what a genuine guy. Now he shines brighter than ever.

He did. I grew up with Three's Company in the late 70s/early 80s.
He's so easy to love.

Surprised he mentioned both the Dead Boys and Carlos Castaneda in the same interview. He was an interesting dude.
When I first moved to LA in 97 I saw him at a coffee shop on the Sunset strip. I still regret not saying hi.

Great man
RIP homie been a fan since I was knee high to a grasshopper.
Weird he was talking about being scared to die.
I noticed exactly that n thought : wow. Speak of irony , coincidence etc.

Such a cutie. 😍
He was brilliant... Gone to soon!
Next time I'm in Cali / LA area I want to visit his grave (and Yogananda)
Forest Lawn is right across the street from Disney Studios, where he fell ill. Buster Keaton is also there.
