Flood of Tears and Evacuation in blue are also really decent, specially in a budget. In black i'd also suggest Deadly Tempest and in red Chain Reaction is super underrated
In my experience, control decks make games WAAAY longer than board wipes do. Actually, thinking about it, the only board wipes that have needlessly slowed the game down were ones that destroyed lands.
Everyone hating Farewell cause it "slows game"... but if the match is fun, it just turn 20mins into 40mins of fun... // Hope someday we get some non-specific GREEN board wipes.
Mld yes should only be down if your gonna win but board wipes no. Most the time they are uses to stop someone who is about to win or at least has the ability to take out a player that is likely you.
@@cread13 just plain boardwipe the archenemy it's not going to increase mine or anyone else win%, the archenemy probably has more cards and/or mana because of a engine or something else to rebuild faster or he has a protection for his board or a bad deck... Asymmetric boardwipes are a must unless you like 3-4 hours games and that's up to you.

I always run at a bare minimum 2 board wipes and 6 targeted removal spells in each deck.

Boardwipes and mld should be wincons.

Board wipes and MLD are all about timing.
Keep some sneaky land/creatures in your hand... look weaker... then create a dominant board state.
