@@honestabe411 Trying to compare Crim being an annoying edgelord to Phil being a scorching hot memelord almost hurts my brain. And then you have Seth just sitting over there, infectiously and unashamedly loving Magic and being the chilliest bro ever. I honestly don't even know how Crim's personality fits into MTGGoldfish's brand at all. Everyone else on the channel is like the quiet EDH pod in the corner of your LGS on a weeknight that is always down for a game when you ask, and Crim is the guy who you see pitted against you on FNM pairings and you legitimately consider dropping instead.

soul diviner liquimetal coating to repeat saga steps is actually so genius there's so many different things you could do with that
So many things like: Fail to draw soul Diviner, Fail to draw liquimetal coating, Die before you hit 4 mana, Get your 6 mana enchantment countered. The possibilities are all right there!
And through the power of selective editing, you too can make this jank appear fun for viewers by cutting out all the embarassing losses too!

@@RiKSh4w What 6 mana enchantment? They said soul diviner + liquid metal. That works with any saga. Diviner seemed to work reasonably well with the tome to get through your deck. And it can work with Karn in a pinch. Speaking of Karn, liquid metal did well with him on the board or it worked with artifact removal like the march. And I don't think I need to talk about strong sagas...
Yes, individually the cards aren't powerful, but the combination of diviner+liquid metal has potential which was what the above comment was saying. And yes you can be blown out by drawing only lands and your creature dies to removal. That's not the point.
@RiKShaw231 Karn and liquid metal are a combo, indestructible lands and the Saga are a combo. Since liquid is in the sideboard and this deck runs more than a couple of lands... there are two separate single card combos in this deck. Tell me more about how hard it is to assemble combos with this deck?
The "Sundering Titan" card sleeves were a wonderful touch to stick with the Mass Land Destruction theme! ❤

Ah yes, Soul Diviner + Fall of the Thran, I played around with that idea when Eldraine gave us Dance of the Manse (Diviner can remove counters from creatures)
And the new Zur can act as a redundant piece for that idea.

@nathannathan801 nah, a good portion of the entertainment is simply Phil himself. It's not just his brews, it's him. His voice. His jokes. He's the reason we watch. His videos get more than the podcast and any of the rest.
@@baragon023 His videos are S-tier yeah, because of the great pacing & explosive combos/jank he pulls off, all thanks to the hard work he puts into editing. Don't know if he streams at all, but it'd be a totally different experience I'm sure. I'd still watch though

I used to play Fall of Thran with Remorseful cleric when they were in standard, it also caused similar connection issues on Arena.

I have a friend that unironically loves land destruction and hates green mana. He play against Nissa Vital Force too much and got traumatized. My group never lets him play commander with us

I built a similar Naya mass land destruction deck a while ago with Waking the Trolls, field of ruin, fall of thran, and tormods crypt. Also had that naga that lets you play lands from the GY and just keep bringing back FoR. That was before the artifact lands were on Arena so I may have to go back to that deck and throw those bad boys in.

Reminds me when I found out about liquimetal coating and splinter.
Not that I'm a good deck builder, but I also used acidic slime and other things to help get rid of lands, but also have something to use on the board. I think I used conquer too as a form of acceleration and land destroy. It was pretty jank, but good against my friends' equally janky decks lol.

Holy shit this looks so similar to my original esper artifact edh! I loved the absolute shenanigans it could do but no one would play me anymore so I rebuilt it with less cheese, but I miss it so much!

I used to play a deck like this, not destroying lands every turn, instead exiling the grave with Phyrexian Scriptures and other exile effects, also, there wasn't that many indestructible lands on arena at the time

I love the "connection issues" :D That should be punished so hard. Getting roped is the worst you can encounter in Arena. But I can understand the opponents at least a liiiiiittle bit :D

You could do this with less setup with Glissa Sunslayer if they have no blockers/don't block. I run her in an Abzan Pioneer brew along with Binding the Old Gods to great effect, although not as great as blowing up my opponent's lands each turn
Land destruction in janky ways like this always makes me audibly LOL. 😅
I was destroying 4 lands each turn cycle in commander last night. Karn, Silver Golem, myr landscaper, Unwinding Clock, and a liquimetal Torque. Absolutely ruined the guy to my right first cuz he was a sac deck and had a lodestone golem out. He couldn't pay mana to sac his mana cost thing. Everyone else got to have no lands next and have a tax on top. It was just brutal.
Soul diviner is an underrated card. It's one of the few ways to remove the counter from blast zone in case you need to wipe a board of tokens

I've started working on a ramp land hate deck so this might come in handy
Ok so I have to play white to do it unless I can find similar cards I'm using glint right now so if anyone has any other cards that work the same way in those colours let me know. I'll be using the chain veil too to make sure my walkers maximize their efficiency.
