This is a great build and I’m about to build it. I just started my survival world and came to a dead end when I needed a base. The only problem was the amount of wood I needed. It took a long time to gather everything. It’s still really great though and I look forward to having a nicely built house.
Yeah you need a decent amount of wood, but I hope it was worth it!

I travelled far and wide for these resources. Went to the plains to get wool, the jungle for brown dye and vines, a desert village for hay bales and pots, the forest for oak leaves, and the taiga for obvious reasons. But it was worth it in the end! Me, my puppy Orchid, and my parrot Olivia can live in our beautiful new home!

I didn't know how to build a house very well, so I decided to look up a tutorial. This one seemed like a nice, easy to make, small house. Which was perfect for someone like me. I gathered all the materials I needed, or so I thought, and began building and following the tutorial. Until I saw that one block they placed I didn't have. I went back and checked if there were any more things I needed, then, I saw it. "Full list in the description"... 40 more items that I needed, in the description. I read them and thought to myself "it shouldn't be that hard to get them, right?". I was wrong. The FIRST thing on the list took me 1 hour to get. 19 goddamn lanterns. Tell me, why would I house as small as this need 19 🐬🐬 LANTERN'S?? So, I finally get my lanterns, I head back home. And a creeper blows up a chest where I was keeping my things. No big deal, just pick the things up and put them in another chest right?. It disappeared. EVERY 🐬🐬 THINGS THAT I NEEDED (or so I thought) TO BUILD THIS HOUSE 🐬🐬 EVAPORATES. In conclusion, I fully blame this tutorial and only this tutorial for not including all of the items needed in the video.

the bed is really bad as it doesnt save respawn luckily i found my way home (edit: i fixed it by making a trapdoor just above the door not in the way of walking tho)

Just curious, do you think this would look good if you switch the cobble stone with deep slate tiles or bricks? I love builds with spruce and deep slate and im wondering if I should build it with cobble to deepslate in my survival world

For me this isn't really a starter base but just more of a good normal survival base, but overall besides of all the grinding for materials it's a great build

You should have put all the blocks we need not just main but overall good tutorial and you did not count the materials right
