Brandon steered you in the right direction but I will say, if you can hold out until the end of February, the current JetSpeed Line will be going on sale. If you can, you'll be getting a two year newer skate at the same price as what you're looking at now! Chase at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse thanks a lot Chase. In that case I’ll wait a tad longer and wait for that sale. I appreciate the help guys and I’ll be in touch in February !
I love ccm skates I bought the FTS 490 8 months ago. I’ve always had ccm and have lasted 10 plus years. I skate in them once a week in a pick up game and last night a puck bounced up and hit my ankle. Instantly a felt I had no support in my boot. I looked down and my boot was crack. All ccm said was sorry nothing we can do it’s over your 90 days. For real!!! A $600 plus skate that lasted me 8 months. These once piece boots in my opinion a terrible or there is a defect in the material they are using. I would be very cautious if your thinking about buying a pair of these!!! Very disappointed customer here sorry ccm not sure I will buy another one of your skates after you guys not willing to make it right with a loyal customer
I honestly think it might be minus Maybe something to do with the tongue. I bet when you get up close to it and feel each skate the wait might be different to who knows
The new quick change, tool-less holder is on there too which the FT1 didn't have. Biggest bonus is these cost about half as much as FT1s did and FT2s do now
Similar, but the midsole is made of nylon instead of composite like the FT1 and the heel is wider. The two are identical in price depending on where you look so I would still go with the FT1 personally.
I loved this skate, the fit was remarkable; however, durability is a major issue. Went through two pairs of these skates in 2 months. The inside of the boot is not very impact resistant and cracked through the carbon composite. Once cracked, the structural integrity of the boot is lost. Back to Vapors I go.
Really impressed with the tech that CCM is packing into the upper-middle tier price points now.
Is this still a good skate for a bantam in 2022?
It sure is!

This skate is on sale at my local retailer for 4 bills. Sounds like a bargain to me? What do you think Chase ? Should I go for it ?
That is a fantastic deal, you're getting an elite-level skate at a fraction of the cost...I'd jump on that!
