Midnight Club 3 on psp looked awesome too. The maps of remix was only the midnight club 2 maps. And... Yeah. There where some games, that where kinda just ps2 Games. Like gta lcs and vcs. referring to the oddly sensitive buttons in menus, it's a emulation issue, on the actual psp hardware the menus ran at a oddly laggy and stuttery 15-20-ish fps and to compensate the button presses were made more sensitive

My main issue with the PSP version is that the races are way too simple. The checkpoint placements create way too simple races even by comparison to the main console version of LA. This combined with the fact that all missions just repeat a handful of races instead of having unique ones, the game quickly becomes very repetitive. And the Tokyo section is just a repeat of 3's tracks. The gameplay is fine, but the track design becomes mind numbing rather quickly. Also the limited car selection per city makes no sense, especially when looking at the MC3 psp port.
Considering how small the map were from all the other maps in 3 and the fact that the Tokyo map is copied and pasted from dub edition remix , they kinda worked with what they had here ig
If you beat Midnight Club II, then you've already raced every race event in LAremix - they didn't just port the first(LA) and third(Tokyo) maps, but the races, too(and yes, that means this also applies to MC3remix Tokyo, as this PSP Tokyo career is the exact same career, minus MC3remix's ability to access your main career garage)...

You should try Ridge racer 2 on psp , it was a goddamn good racing game on my childhood back at 2007 even back then i wasn't a type of boy who likes/into racing games

I know the series name and inspiration was the Japanese underground racing scene, but the customizable muscle cars added in the third game were what I felt made it stand out from the slew of other tunner inspired racers out there. Now this is purely my opinion, but the physics of GTA V aren't good enough to be a replacement for Midnight Club, vehicles feel very floaty and even rather samey. Also no manual transmission option, I mean, Midnight Club PSP didn't have manual either, but it was on PSP, so I am willing to compromise a bit.
the rims in the stock Scirocco remind me a lot of the VW Gol orbital wheels. To be honest, the Scirocco overall looks like a sporty Gol (quem concorda?)
I played this multiple times over but somewhere in my moves I must've lost the disk. I have the case and manual but I haven't found the disk to this day so probably should pick one up secondhand at some point lol.
I had finished couple times before back then on the emulator, what i'm still disappointed about is the lack of race editor, political in cruise mode and lack of SUVs and low riders due to the PSP's limitations.
The PSP is stupid easy to hack these days, just download a n iso image and play that off the memory card, no disk required and it loads like 4x faster too!
I liked this game what disappointed me was that there was nothing to do after beating the game meanwhile after Beating MC3 there was more to do even after beating the game …

Unpopular opinion, however I feel like Midnight Club 3 was so much better than LA, at least on the PSP It had the same mechanics as Xbox, the same cars and customisation, and although the Render Distance was fucky at times, it gets the pass since it ran on a console from the mid 2000s As much as I loved LA, MC3 Dub Edition on PSP and MC3 Dub Edition Remix on Xbox was just perfect
You gimped yourself out of a better experience, the midnight 3 port on the psp has its framerate tied to the clockspeed of the mips 3000 processor, in ppsspp you can unlock the framerate by setting the emulated clockspeed to 1000mhz. Meaning the fps will run at 60fps instead of 30 with the small side effect of menus running in double speed but this doesnt carry over to actual gameplay.
Modnation is fun on ps3. If you have a ps3 and you find a copy, definitely pick it up. Asphalt 2 on the other hand, the only good thing about it is the slightly higher car top speeds and the menu music. Otherwise, the DS version has better, faster gameplay.

restricting cars to certain maps is really an unexplicable limitation that could be easily removed by just putting the entire car list in both maps
I think the graphics in this game is eye watering I love how the screen pours water when it rains in game

@@regglime you can change the driving physics in psp though. Standard makes it easy to drive, Pro physics is basically GT4's physics ported in psp.

I will never forget the moment I 100% both maps on my PSP.
I started play this version in november of 2021 and i still completing the Tokyo career for first time.
My favorite thing of this port is that it has the MC3 physics. I could never fully like the ones in LA console tbh
They made the game reusing Midnight Club 3 PSP port assets.
It a good PSP game but for me the best PSP Racing game is still Street Supermacy. The Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 for PSP.

The base console version doesn't feature SUVs, they got added on South Central DLC and Rockstar forgot to add this DLC on PSP port.
PSP MCLA was my favorite when I was a kid, and then my PSP back part (CD area) didn't close all the way, and I lost my progress :(
