Can You Beat Gran Turismo 3 with European Cars Only?

- Gran Turismo 3 only has 180 cars but if we remove American and Japanese cars from it and only leave European cars in here the roster is a lot smaller, but is it enough to beat the entire game with?

The rubberband probably the interesting part and feels the AI possess by Max power, as always the challenge interesting with how limitation and challenging yet exaggerated the race is.

A challenge idea I've been mulling over these past few days is: what is the fewest number of (purchased) cars you need to beat Gran Turismo 4? No prize cars allowed.
I do have this in mind but not for GT but another series 👀
I forgot either yellow bird or teakanji have done this, but one thing i remember is Honda Beat is the most versatile car in early game
I think that would be incredibly easy

This was a pretty neat challenge to watch through, the car choices was interesting to me. Aside from that I'm just surprised at the rubberband in this game, it's just as bad as NFS Undercover AI on the PS2 lol. Great video as always Dove, perhaps in the future you could do more challenges like this again.

Pretty sure the Rubber-band isn't just limited to ai. Haven't tested this since GT 3 was still new but i remember very well using the Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca at ss 5 and allowing myself to get lapped. After that the sense of speed and handling went to another level and the speedometer was clearly inaccurate. I didn't know about the term catch-up or rubber-band until NFS HP2 , but i could tell something was off when i played GT 2. GT 1 had hints of this but GT 2 didn't hide it at all. In GT 3 it seemed to be enabled at random races/events. As for HP 2, cars flying through the air to catch you made it clear what catch-up meant.

1:43 I just finished watching a streamer play phoenix wright and the song choice had me do an emotional double take. I love ur use of visual novel music like zero escape too earlier, you should danganronpa or 428 shibuya scramble OST next. Danganronpa is a hack for free engagement since zoomers will leave comments about it :D

I think I always drove some New Beetle racing version in blue in GT3. I was doing pretty well with it as a teen back in 2001
God I love the Gillet, such a cool car but completely broken ingame compared to the real thing lol
Yesterday I learned gt4 graphics can set to 1080i on the original ps2 hardware it looks so crisp compared to before
I hope more people know this it makes the game so good
I still think GT3 has the best handling model in the series. Also love the Camera compared to GT4.
For Midnight Club games I have a few challenge suggestions:
howhardcanitbe9 on a fresh save file - Midnight Club 2
This is a cheat code the game tells you about once you beat the game, but the cheat codes can be used at any time, so try beating the whole game with this on. In MC2 the game's difficulty changes depending on whether you win or lose a race, while restarting the race doesn't affect this. But with this cheat code the difficulty should always be at max level.
Class C Max or Starter Car Only - Midnight Club 3
As the name states, either the max level of cars you can use is C, or you try the even more difficult challenge that is sticking to your starter car. Class C Max is pretty doable thanks to the Skyline, while trying to use something like the 350Z can make the endgame races pure rng. Starter car challenge meanwhile becomes pure rng once you start seeing A class cars in races. My Eclipse saw so much rubberbanding bs in Detroit..
JDM Fan - Midnight Club Los Angeles
You must use Japanese cars in all missions that allow them. South Central progression included. It's not that hard of a challenge, but it can be fun.
Also no bikes outside of mandatory missions. Sports bikes are ridiculously good in MC3, and in MCLA they're downright broken. They're way beyond a built in easy mode.

Here's a challenge run idea for Burnout Revenge. Beat the game with only the starter cars or just the ST class.
The main issue you'll have against the AI will be the Eliminator events since you can't reach their top speeds and you can't stay behind for long.
Also, because of the progression system universally leveling up the AI, even on regular 100% runs, you'll be going against higher tier cars if you complete the events in order.

You didn't use any french car, but whenever I can, I try to get the Sport Clio 00, which is a AMAZING car for championships and has so much grip and speed.
Gran Turismo 3 rubberbands is like Motorstorm PS3.
Technically the old continent only has 4 types of cars:
-german cars
-Skodas
-old Volvos before they became chinese
and
-what the pros know as *pain*
