Great video! I have only driven by Mt Shasta one time in my life, back in 2016, but for some strange reason I remember driving by it a few different times. I don't know if it's just my dreams or some divine timeline skipping brought on by the mountain. Its so vivid that I even asked my kids if we drove by it more than once. Strange but nice.
I live in the Redding area and this whole area has a lot of paranormal activity. The scary thing about McBride Springs campground is that it is right on the outskirts of town. People think these anomalous things only happen way up in the mountains but there are strange things that occur in populated areas here in Northern California.
i suspect that 'silence' had been there for a while, lending to his initial unease. just stumbled onto your channel, LOVE your storytelling skills SUBSCRIBED
Have stayed at McBride Springs a couple of times, have never experienced anything strange or creepy myself. Have not hiked around the campsite its self, though. Have hiked up at the old bowl. No strange experiences there either. The energy of the whole area is positive and powerful, though. Always feel great when visiting the Shasta area.
Mt. Shasta is one of my top favorite places to visit despite that I've heard some strange rumors. Yeah I'm open-minded to hear about people's encounters with the Sasquatch, some Aliens, and about interdimensional beings that live in a 5-D realm. I've also heard the legends that Mt. Shasta is where the Lemurians took refuge and were allowed to live in the 5 or 6-D realms. But I haven't ever encountered anything like that. At least not yet. Maybe one day I will. The only things which I have experienced is that Mt. Shasta is a very strong spiritual portal. I have felt that. Plus I do have strange story to share while I was up there on vacation. On October 1st, 2021, I've stayed in a vacation cabin near the mountain. I've had peace and quiet. Although I went out to explore the outdoors like visiting McCloud Falls and Castle Lake, I did choose to dance and sing every night inside the cabin. While I sang, I did see a white light that appeared in front of me. It glowed. But it formed into a beautiful angel figure. I felt like I was being watched. As I continued singing, the refrigerator suddenly made a very loud sound. It startled me and it sounded like an android singing for only 6 seconds. I wasn't sure if it was my signing voice that brought it to life or if was the angel using the refrigerator to try to communicate with me. But it did happen and I didn't choose to go on singing after that. I was scared. Usually refrigerators make a humming sound and turn off on their own. They never sound like an android trying to sing with someone. Anyway, that's my true story on what I've experienced up in Mt. Shasta. Phenomenal things can happen up there. You never know. That's for sure.
Great stories! I would echo any warning about staying near Mt. Shasta or a nearby town named Dunsmuir. We got off the 5 southbound one day to fill the gas tank and got majorly creeped out immediately after entering the town. We listen to those inner voices of warning! Forgot about getting gas and just got OUT!

I love Mt. Shasta it's the only place in my life that I have ever gotten lost...it was pretty weird so yeah Mt. Shasta is a little strange for sure but I LOVE it there 💗💗💗 and it feels like something is always watching you there.
I grew up in Shasta County. There are definitely haunted hot spots + once while camping w/ a friend near the mountain we heard what we believe to be a Sasquatch howl.
I lived in Mount Shasta for 3 months during the summer of 1990. My girlfriend and I lived in a couple tents. It was really awesome nothing too weird happened to us
I consider myself a fairly experienced hiker, but I prefer to pack my USGS map to support my compass, and I recommend not going off-trail for visitors to a new area unless accompanied by someone who knows the area.
This popped up on my feed and I had to watch and comment! I live in Shasta county, in a town about two hours south of mt Shasta . This summer my family and I camped up on a dirt road below the ski park. We were right below the mountain back in the woods a little ways. At night my husband and I slept in the back of our truck in an air mattress, and I saw a UFO! It was a big orb in the sky, that just hovered and zipped back and forth for awhile. It wasn’t the color of an airplane or helix. I saw those too, and some satellites. It was more the color of a flashlight or warm gold star. But it hovered and lived unlike aircraft. I don’t know what it was , but I watched it until it left. So strange! And cool.
So nice to listen to stories narrated by real people instead of AI that cannot read. This is quite a story, as are all the Mt. Shasta stories. If you go there, the town of Mt Shasta is a fine, safe place to eat and stay.
I lived in shingletown Shasta county for over 5 yrs, fairly far from mt Shasta . Still very in the boonies by mt lassen, lots of odd things happened up there. Too many to list, even strange weather events. When you live isolated like I did, things that happen in my front yard. Neighbors that live maybe half mile from me didn’t experience, hard to explain. Once had thunder so intense, it literally knocked me back in my house. Sky was black, rattling my windows. I thought it was thunder, but there were no clouds. Then loud noise hovered over my house for a few mins, I don’t know how to explain the noise. Only happened once while I lived there, next day I asked around. No one else experienced what I did, my dogs were freaked out hiding in a corner the whole time. I also lived west of mt Shasta in the boonies off grid, also had a lot of strange things happen there. That county is just odd, I’ve lived in over 50+ towns in California. Never had any experiences like we had in Shasta county, there’s just something about that county that’s odd. Believe me or not, I just wish there was video recording back then. This all happened in the late 90’s, hasn’t detoured me from living off grid. I’m no longer in Shasta county, but I still have a lot of friends up there. I’ve heard lots of stories from others who live up there, some had odd experiences. Others had none, very odd county imo
That first story sounds a lot like the 2017 horror film The Ritual, which is really creepy and I highly recommend. The whole creature in the woods that can look or sound like your loved ones thing is about as effectively scary as anything I can imagine.

Honestly with the insane amount of mount Shasta stories over decades, i dunno why ppl are still brave enough to try and camp there, especially overnight smdh
I’m from California, and yes, Shasta is weird. But also super cool. Also, I’m thinking nearly every mountain range and peak on this earth is weird… Mt. McKinley, St. Helens, the Rockies, the Appalachian Mountains. Or the Grand Canyon, Zion, and not to mention NM, CO, WY, UT… just the foothills and areas surrounding specific mountains have tons of unexplained things going on. I think a lot has to do with the specific type of rock present at certain mountains. Granite is a big one. Boulders. Different concentrations of minerals at certain mountains can create unknown reactions… lots of unknown or unseen energy fields could be activated. Then there are the specialized beings and creatures that live in the very specialized, high-elevation environments. All creatures, "great and small", are adapted to their ecological niche, especially cryptids and lesser-known entities. If anything, they’re VERY in-tune with their unique niche and spot. Whether they’re interdimensional or biological, or both, all cryptids are built for wherever they are. Unless that’s in your house. lol.

I am also excited to be a new member! I LOVE your storytelling and am in awe of your skills. Mt. Shast is so beautiful and looks so inviting. However, as your stories indicate, has a dark side.
Thank you SO much, Steven! We should have our first Members Only video out sometime in the next few days! 💜💜💜
@@TheInBetweenTales You are welcome. Can't wait!👍

Sweet! Happy to see another post from you. Thank you CarolAnn🙌
We may not be able to post at the same time every week, but always know that the next one is in the works! Thanks, Craig. 😊💜
Wow! That's interesting! Thanks, Manuela. 😊💜
Loving these stories!!!👻👽🏔️
Thanks, Denise! 😊💜
Thanks, grl! 😊💜
I've lived about 20 miles from Mt shasta for almost 4 years. It's a interesting place
I hear that a lot! I'm anxious to experience that for myself someday! 🙏💜
Wow! That's pretty spectacular! Thanks, Marguerite! 😊💜
@@TheInBetweenTales it's my pleasure.^^
I love these short stories, Carol Ann.
Thanks! Do you like the narration inbetween? Or is that a distraction?
@TheInBetweenTales not a distraction at all. You are a masterful storyteller.
This was a good one. Really liked it! Great job in-between!!! 26:07
Glad you liked it! Thanks, Robert. 😊💜
@@TheInBetweenTales U R Welcome Hun!
Ceepy!
I just moved away from dunsmuir after living there for 7 years. It's a laid back, safe little mountain town
@HubCityMan I guess one person's ominous is another person's quirky! 🤣 Thanks, HubCityMan. 😊💜
@@MaurineCromwell I love Dunsmuir! Best water in the world! There's a great restaurant there called Conerstone. Great food!

Good evening, ma'am. Cam buckner from Dixie Crypid said that we should check out your channel. Im glad I did. I dont follow many people. Neoma Finn is another person I follow. I love these kinds of stories!
Well, thank you, Walter, for taking Cam's suggestion and dropping by. We're glad to have ya! 😊💜
@TheInBetweenTales It's nice to be appreciated. I have always loved a good Sy-Fi movie or story. Plus, I have had my own experiences. Perhaps I'll tell you one day. Wishing you good health and happiness.

@@TheInBetweenTalesI just sent you a story from my very first camping trip of two years ago. I hope I sent it to you correctly. Please let me know if you receive it. Thank you.
@walterbuckhannon3947 I did! I am right in the middle of trying to get the next video out tomorrow, so it may be a couple of days before I get a chance to read it, but I saw it in the mailbox. Thank you! 😊💜
❤Love Mt Shasta stories
and your channel Carol Ann❤
Thank you, Nancee! 💜💜💜
Yes carol ann. The answer is YES!!!
😂😂😂
I live close to mt shasta. There are a lot of stories about this mountain. My family has lived in Eastern shasta country since the before 1890 and in Yreka before that.
Good Evening ❤ love this channel !!!
Thanks, Jane! 😊💜
@@TheInBetweenTales you’re welcome 🙋🏼♀️☺️
I love Mt. Shasta it's the only place in my life that I have ever gotten lost...it was pretty weird so yeah Mt. Shasta is a little strange for sure but I LOVE it there 💗💗💗 and it feels like something is always watching you there.
Definitely on my bucket list as well!
You are the best, Carol Ann!
Thanks, TreeHearts! 😊💜
I grew up in Shasta County. There are definitely haunted hot spots + once while camping w/ a friend near the mountain we heard what we believe to be a Sasquatch howl.
That's about all I would want to experience! I'd be out! 🤣 Thanks, Danelle. 😊💜
Good story telling!
I lived in Mount Shasta for 3 months during the summer of 1990. My girlfriend and I lived in a couple tents. It was really awesome nothing too weird happened to us
Now I can eat my lunch while watching this. Thanks ❤
Kinda hard to counter that Argument
❤ So good ⭐
I consider myself a fairly experienced hiker, but I prefer to pack my USGS map to support my compass, and I recommend not going off-trail for visitors to a new area unless accompanied by someone who knows the area.
Sounds like good advice for most folks.
So strange! And cool.
That's the kind if encounter I would like to have. Simple. Not scary! 😊💜
Cam from Dixie Crytids said to give you a listen!! Hi from North Carolina 😄
Thanks for popping over, Marian! Hope you like it! And hello, NC! 😊💜
So nice to listen to stories narrated by real people instead of AI that cannot read. This is quite a story, as are all the Mt. Shasta stories. If you go there, the town of Mt Shasta is a fine, safe place to eat and stay.
Thanks, Susan! 😊💜
Wow! I find it very interesting that so.e people who live(d) there experience all kinds of stuff, and others do t experience anything! So bizarre! 🤔💜
That first story sounds a lot like the 2017 horror film The Ritual, which is really creepy and I highly recommend. The whole creature in the woods that can look or sound like your loved ones thing is about as effectively scary as anything I can imagine.
Agreed! 😊💜
I am here because Dixie Crypid sent me. Cam said your really good.
Thank you for coming over! I hope you like it here, too. 😊💜

I heard all these great things about Mt Shasta and went there. I stayed about 10 minutes and could not wait to get out of the area. Very unsettling to me.
Wow! So weird that everyone either loves it or hates it! Thanks, Winner! 😊💜
Honestly with the insane amount of mount Shasta stories over decades, i dunno why ppl are still brave enough to try and camp there, especially overnight smdh
I love living here…heaven on earth… thank you 🙏🏼
I’m from California, and yes, Shasta is weird.
Unless that’s in your house. lol.
Interesting thought! Thanks, Erik. 😊💜
