  • Similar to HBO's 24/7, ESPN's "The Season" focuses on one team during the course of it's season and playoffs.
    The 2003-04 Colorado Avalanche were supposed to win the Stanley Cup after acquiring superstar free agents Teemu Selanne and Paul Kariya. Expectations were very high not only in Denver, but also in the Avalanche locker room, but the retiement of Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy and lots of injuries to starplayers as Kariya and Peter Forsberg let the team struggle during most parts of the season. This documentation follows the Avs players, coaches and management staff and provides rare behind the scenes looks and exclusive interviews, sights and sounds.
    Check out the Avs halloween party, Patrick Roy's jersey retirement, how General Manager Pierre Lacroix made his Trade Deadline deals and much more.

    Roy should’ve played one more season with this team they definitely would’ve won the cup that year

  • @yashamaga1319
    @yashamaga1319 Год назад +9

    I never understood why Roy didn't just come back for one more season once they started turning into a super team (on paper). He was still playing really good and may have been enough to push them over the top in the playoffs.
    That said, Aebischer had a really solid regular season - slightly better than Roy's last year, so he wasn't the issue with the team. I just think Roy's conn Smythe winning ways may have been helpful.

    You wanted to send a message that this is not hockey? It’s not something that you take lightly? Then why didn’t you suspend Moore for that hit on Naslund? That hit also wasn’t a hockey play. If Moore was properly suspended for that initial hit on Naslund, his career wouldn’t have ended so abruptly and Bertuzzi wouldn’t have a tarnished reputation! NHL, this is your fault!

      Not quite. These Avs actually won a playoff series. Those Lakers didn't even win a playoff GAME
