It's hard to believe how great Australia reacted to the early AIDS crisis compared to the way that America reacted. We still don't see commercials dealing with condoms and AIDS in 2008 let alone 1986. Kudos to Australians for not being afraid to talk about it and thus saving thousands of lives we've lost here in the states.

@ledafox66 Cool what a fantastic thing for you to take part in. I'm sure as an actress it was probably just a job but what a brilliant one to do. Seems Australia were way ahead of everyone when it came to educating about AIDs - I'm from England and we had some scary ads back in the day but these Australian ones are way way better. Pardon me but these ads are very much in light of today's needs in very poor taste and like similar anti drug spots on television are in three types either scare the shit out of you or un realistic or controversial. the only way to get people to not do risky behavior is to educate them about sexuality and disease or drugs and peer pressure on an individual basis and not take a head in the sand atitude toward these issues which are prevalent everywhere. Condoms and Abstinence should be stressed
