The promo for WOF at 4PM is for the NBC daytime version. Daytime WOF aired at 4PM on WPXI for a few years IIRC, around Fall 1984-Fall 1986. WPXI aired SUper Password at 11AM when most stations would air daytime WOF (EST)in 1984-85, and All New LMAD in Summer 1986 at that time. and it aired at 3:30PM on KYW Philly(then NBC, now CBS) from 1/7/1985-3/15/1985 and from 9/5/1988-6/30/1989(ROlf Benirschke took over host of daytime WOF on 1/10/1989 and NBC cancelled daytime WOF on 6/30and it moved to CBS two weeks later). KYW aired Hour Magazine with Gary Collins from 11AM-Noon for its last four years on the air.

Nine days later, NBC debuted their new peacock logo which reduced the number of feathers from 11 to 6. However some station affiliates still kept the Proud N logo even after the new peacock logo debuted, and WPXI has been a Cox owned station for sixty years.

This is wonderful. I was only two days old when these commercials and promos aired.
WPXI did not carry the syndicated version of "Wheel of Fortune" until 1987. It carried the NBC version of the show at that time.

They got WOF and Jeopardy from KDKA, who aired the syndicated versions of the shows from the beginning. 9/7/1987 was the day WOF and J! moved to WPXI. J! was at 7PM, and WOF originally IIRC was at 5PM EST, but around 1989 IIRC nighttime Wheel moved to 7:30PM. Jackpot BIngo aired from 2/10 or 2/17/1986 until 12/26/1986 on WPXI, replaced by Newlywed Game. WTAE started the similarly formatted $25K Bingo Mania on 2/10 or 2/17/1986 and aired it at 10AM until 8/14/1987

@@zachhoran The current version of "WOF" moved to 7:30 in October of 1988. These days, "Wheel" airs before "Jeopardy!" on WPXI.

Is it just me or did the Fathers and Sons promo ad at 5:22 looked like something from ABC during the 90s?
