2023 Teaching Award recipient Safaneh Mohaghegh Neyshabouri

Empathy is skill that can be taught - that's what inaugural UCalgary Inclusive Excellence Award recipient Dr. Safaneh Mohaghegh Neyshabouri believes. Using literature as her tool, she builds inclusive teaching spaces where students can ask hard questions and perhaps question their own long-held beliefs in the effort to see things from another person's perspectives.
