I love how he had nothing to do with any of his movies and he broke it down like he was a director for some of them it’s incredible
I'm always said when Kevin says there is never a chance that he will direct a comic book movie. I know he isn't the worlds most loved director and to be completely honest I've grown out of most of his movies he's done lately, even if I still watch them/appreciate them.
But I think a movie with Kevin and Marc Bernardin co-directing or writing or whatever would be pretty great. If you've never listened to Fatman Beyond, it is really great as Kevin is y'know, Kevin, but Marc always reigns it in with amazing criticisms of all of our modern comic movies.
I love how they just got Kevin Smith to do it, not because he's related to Spider-man in the media, but because he's a fan.
Kevin TOTALLY forgets about SPIDER-MAN on PBS tv ELECTRIC COMPANY for KIDS! that was my other love access to Spiderman AFTER being a Weekly Newpaper comic of Spiderman Fan! before I could get afford comicbooks.

Actually Kevin Smith wrote a Spider-Man and Black Cat series of comics titled “The Evil That Men Do” spanning from around 2002 to 2006.

I just want to say, thank you for voicing my favorite iteration of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Still holding out for Season 3 or some kind of follow-up some day.
Well, atleast us Spectacular Spidey fans will always appreciate the greatest and most faithful adaptation of Spider-Man in animated form yet. Its really a crime that it got cancelled due to petty corporate politics. I still hope Greg Weisman gets involved in a Spider-Man movie in the future.

I think its funny how he starts getting swearier as the video goes on. He stars off trying to not swear and does a good job, but starts letting a few slip after he’s been sitting a while, and then he ‘s pretty much at his normal level.

what really sold me on Holland's spiderman was that short little compilation in Homecoming, where we see his daily routine. There's a brief moment where he stops fighting crime and gives an old lady directions. I really think that say's a lot about his character, nothing is too small for him to help out with.

Yeah, as a nerd who thought K. Smith was kinda like an uber nerd, I couldn't believe my ears and went searching for this comment. Guess I did hear it right
I stayed and watched the whole thing to hear that. As crazy as it is, it doesn't surprise me. Most people that see the word trip up trying to sort the pronunciation with words they've heard out loud like "evangelical" and "evangelists". I thought his pronunciation of symbiote was a bit of a surprise considering the whole Venom pronunciation thing.

I’m proud to know Kevin Smith feels the same way about the movie characters as I do. Toby Maguire good Peter meh Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield good Spider-Man nothing like 616 Peter Parker, Tom Holland great Spider-Man and a great Peter Parker.

Spider-man and his amazing friends was my first Spider-man show and is to this day my favorite.
We lost the creators of Spider-Man this year, Rest in Peace Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
It's funny that he said he didn't care for "Spider-Man" 2002, because that movie is one of the reasons I know who Kevin Smith is. I got the big boxed collector's edition of the first Spider-man way back when and it came with "Stan Lee's Mutant's Monsters and Marvel's" which was hosted by Kevin Smith. Of course I saw "Clerks" and stuff later, but that DVD was my introduction to him.

As he's a massive fan of spider-man, I think he should watch The spectacular spider-man, it's by far the most accurate and best incarnation of the character and his world.
not so much a fan, he wrote the book... literally.

I loved Spider-Man The Animated Series. I remember watching it the summer it came out before Spider-Man 2 released to theaters. It was great, too bad it was canceled. The show had so much potential.
I was born in 2000, and we used to watch 'Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends' on Jetix like every other night when I was little. I had NO idea that it came out in the 80s. I was incredibly surprised when I found this out....

OBSaxman I was like five, six, or seven at the time, so I couldn't really look at the he animation, the way they spoke and everything, and tell that it was an older cartoon. I just watched and enjoyed it.
That is so cool! It is exciting to think that generations of kids in the future will enjoy Spider Man through the very same cartoons.

Yes it was great but I think any bigger of a screen and I would have had seizures or thrown up. So bright, flashy, and colorful. It looks great but an imax version might have to have an epilepsy warning.

Green Goblin wears a very realistic mask in the main comics, he only physically changes into a goblin monster in the amazing spiderman 2, and in the ultimate spiderman universe. Otherwise its just a bitchin' mask that looks exactly like a real face
godzilla90fan lol yea, but in the original concept for the Sam Raimi film Norman was supposed to physically transform into a green goblin and wear purple armor. That was just the concept art. They were thinking about giving him a mask similar to the one in the comics but they changed their mind and went with the power rangers looking one lol
