    Tony going back in time and meeting his father was such an underrated sad moment in End Game, most people are focusing on the "Love you 3000 thing" (and rightfully so) but Tony meeting his father who tells him he'd do anything for his son was still memorable since Tony grew up believing his father didn't care for him as he never displayed that kind of affection.

    It's interesting that they didn't feel that Iron man's last scene felt complete and they recognized what was missing. Before he snapped his fingers and said "I am Iron Man", everyone in the theater was already whispering "I am iron man" under their breath. I'm glad they recognized that, cause everyone in the theater knew it was the perfect moment to bring that line back.

      I loved how real they showed the loss of that many people over different periods of time. The initial snap of shock and sadness; weeks later with anger, vengeance, and a large dose of PTSD; then five years later how some people were frozen in that depression(Thor) or vengeance (Clint) and the few who could move on, but not fully(Stark). Just simply that child in the street that Scott Lang asks "what's happened here?"...that moment of trauma coming back to the surface for him as he hardens himself and rides away.

    After watching Endgame the 2nd time round, I realised in the scene just before Cap returns all the stones that Bucky already knew what Cap was gonna do. Bucky told Cap “I’m gonna miss u” so he already knew he wasn’t coming back. Bucky also knew to look for the older Cap at that bench, and by telling Sam to “go ahead”, he knew Cap was gonna hand Sam the shield. Cap & Bucky had a whole conversation before that scene, that we’ll hopefully get to see in the Falcon & Winter Soldier series.

    • @gustafsone
      @gustafsone 5 лет назад +159

      Another interpretation I've heard about that scene is that Cap was prepared to give the shield to whoever decided to walk up to him while he was sitting on the bench. He had already determined that Bucky and Falcon were both worthy but it was up to the two of them to decide.
      Bucky let Sam go to Cap because he himself didn't feel worthy. The whole point of "Captain America" is that he is nearly perfect in every way. That's not to say that mistakes can't or won't ever be made, but at his heart, Cap is the epitome of "Good". Bucky's entire history is dark and while he was technically under the influence when he did evil things, he still did them and I don't think he has, and possibly never will, forgive himself for it.

      I see no recognition towards Joss Whedon here, the guy had mental breakdowns and nearly destroyed his sanity tying to make the best movies he could. Films like Avengers and Age of Ultron are his, but he also was given full oversight over the entirety of phase 2. The poor guy had too much on his plate but he still made the MCU into what it is today. Personally, I see Favreau with phase 1, Whedon with phase 2, and the Russos with phase 3 as the directors that made the MCU great, with honorable mentions going to Gunn and Watiti for having a large positive influence on the MCU as well. Just thought Whedon deserved some credit here too.
