I've always felt like Community was the spiritual successor to Arrested Development. Same sharp comedy, amazing ensemble, hugely referential with running gags, and quick humor mixed with subtle humor. The paintball episodes are still the greatest ever.

I will say that the first season can come off as kinda cliche and a little slow, but it gives a lot of necessary background info for the characters for season 2 and season 3 (some of the best seasons for a comedy show ever IMHO 😂) also you WILL fall in love with Troy and Abed's friendship, it's 100% guaranteed 😂

I love that they bring Community cast members into their Marvel films. Danny Pudi in Winter Soldier, Jim Rash in Civil War, and Yvette Nicole Brown & Ken Jeong in Endgame. Also, Donald Glover was in Spiderman: Homecoming, which wasn’t directed by the Russos, but I imagine they helped connect him with the casting team.
Community was one of the first comic series I ever watched without a laugh track, and it spoiled me, tbh. We are lucky to have witnessed these two on the small and large screens.
I imagine it was good in that it's some of the best and richest high quality comedy you can see on television and bad in that it ruins other comedies which are sub par in comparison and littered through out tv so how do u go back to other comedies once you've had the best.
I’ve always found directors that were self taught to be so fascinating. The Russo’s, Kevin Smith, Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez. Learning the industry while working on every film/show is very admirable

Marvel Movies In A Nutshell The third Iron Man and Thor films were not the end of their franchises - they were chapters in the MCU franchise. You may not like them but they are not the endings. As far as we know Thor’s story is not over and Tony’s ended in Endgame in a way that was satisfying and emotionally resonant for millions of people.

Community has better singular episodes (remedial chaos theory, paradigms of human memory, paintball episodes) but arrested development (only the first 3 seasons) has only amazing episodes. Joe seems a lot more attached to Community than Anthony. He keeps referencing it and it just seems to have a special place in his heart. Anthony seems a lot more excited to talk about the avenger movies.
These guys' love for cinema just seems very genuine and it shows. The Russos + Feige give heart to these gigantic superhero movies which would otherwise just be a bunch of colorful explosions. I think that's why MCU resonates with the (huge) audiences across the world.

The genius of Marvel and Kevin is their *trust* of their casting. The Russo brothers literally had *never filmed an action movie before* but Kevin liked their creative vision and trusted them. I literally started watching arrested development a couple days after i saw endgame and when I saw the credits for the Russo’s in one of the episodes my mind was blown

The greatest directors ever. They pulled off impossible tasks and made the greatest movies ever!!! Its so interesting to hear them talk about anything.
Arrested Development, Community and the MCU. I think they even did a few episode of Happy Endings. They have not worked on a single thing that I have disliked.

I had no idea these two guys were behind such different, iconic productions. Gods among men!
The genius of Marvel and Kevin is their *trust* of their casting. The Russo brothers literally had *never filmed an action movie before* but Kevin liked their creative vision and trusted them. He didn't care only about their accolades or only about their prestige, just if they'd do the best job. These guys, believe it or not, are relative rookies compared to the likes of Steven Spielberg or James Cameron or etc. They've filmed less than 10 movies. And yet, they are currently the directors of the *biggest grossing film of all time* .
