Wow, really like this format with pros and cons. It helps new players like me to get some understanding of each roaming class. Please do the same for other professions you play.
Well, I play all professions and classes, it's a lot of videos, haha. I'm getting older, as we all are, and my reflexes aren't what they used to be. But over 80% of the people who watch my videos are between 25 and 50 years old. The younger crowd seems more into Fortnite or Warzone, I guess. I feel like I’m somewhere in the middle. I'll give it my best shot, and I'm glad you like it!
@RufioGamer I'm 47 myself and totally get what you say about reflexes. That's why I find videos like this helpful because it breaks down builds and helps me find a wvw class that would be forgiving to a dad gamer like me. Can't keep with the young guns.
Thank you! We'll see how it goes. I'm active at the moment after being inactive for 10 months, and a lot has changed during that time - new weapons, nerfs, buffs, etc. It takes time to play each specialization in depth. I'll give it a try and see if I can avoid burning out.
How are you targetting the diamond soulbeast in the camp fight without clicking them while they have 2 NPCs between you and them? Tab target wouldn't lock onto them first, right?
I click on him and then tab-target a second time after he comes out of stealth. However, I also have the 'promote target' setting enabled, which locks onto the target with a tab or click.
@@RufioGamer So, promote target carries across stealth and remembers your last hit target or something? Is there somewhere to learn targeting priority for stuff like this? Thief and mesmer abusing aggro resets to exploit ping is one of the most unskilled and cancerous things in the game and anything to minimise it would help a lot.
@@Derploop No, the 'Promote Target' is locking onto your target, so you can turn the camera around but still keep the target as long as it doesn't go into stealth. However, there are a few tips. First, make sure your TAB targeting is set to 'Target Nearest Enemy.' When you move your camera, try to keep the target in the middle of your screen. This should work, but it takes some practice if you haven't done it before. I think the default is 'Next Enemy,' but I'm not sure. Sorry, I forgot what the default is. Anyway, you need to keybind TAB to 'Target Nearest Enemy' or something similar and see what works best for you or your gameplay.
They're competitive, but thief could be nerfed so hard that they couldn't kill anything and they'd still be the most broken class. That class is just insanely unhealthy for the game.
Yes, it's the best class in the game against less skilled players and very easy for new players. F3 and Sword 5, then switch to Spear 5, 4, 3, and the opponent is dead. That's pretty much the rotation for players who don't know how to avoid it (it's best against people who don't use dodge/evade). It struggles, though, against any thief specialization, mesmer, and ranger, especially when facing skilled players. Utility skills and traits are weak. Damage is nice, but in PvP, damage isn't the main factor. Utilities like revealing or poison (33% healing reduction) are far more important, especially against minstrels with gear. It feels like you're hitting a wall, not the player. Of course, if you know how to play, it shines as Firebrand support/healer, which I consider the best in the game. For roaming as the main character in the current meta, I'd choose mesmer, thief, warrior, or ranger over Guardian-Willbender. That's my opinion and experience, but at the end of the day, play what you have fun with!
@@Derploop If you play a class with any revealed skill, thief is a pretty easy target. There are too many classes in the game that don't have utility or traits to reveal. Thief can't be fixed because your main damage skills come from stealth. ArenaNet made a mistake with it at the beginning, and now it's hard to fix. World of Warcraft gives perma-stealth, but once you leave stealth, you can't re-enter it without cooldowns. I played Rogue/Feral Druid for over 10k hours, and I think it’s more balanced. In GW2, I don’t know; entering stealth in combat every few seconds looks OP. Unless they give more utility/traits to other classes or change thief gameplay, this will be a problem forever. That is my opinion.

Nice video format i love it!! Any plan to do other classes?

Willbender is the most broken class right now imo.
