I'm an MMO gamer. I played World of Warcraft. Spend over 10k hours. But I stopped playing in 2014. Mostly arena 2v2 and 3v3. After that, I started to play Guild Wars 2 and stayed since then. In GW2 I play WvW and Open World.

I’m not going to lie, the game is hard for new players. There are so many experienced players, and as a new player, you don’t have mastery. Sometimes NPCs and siege weapons can one-shot you. well this is basicly be rich and have a boatload of every ressource in advance and now you can make money
Trust me friend... I'm a diamond Legend... and it's like having a target on your back. They want the credit for taking you out and even in a group they assume you must be the commander.
They're not focusing you cuz you're low rank, they're focusing you cuz you're a dirty asuran! /s
How are you targetting the diamond soulbeast in the camp fight without clicking them while they have 2 NPCs between you and them? Tab target wouldn't lock onto them first, right?
I click on him and then tab-target a second time after he comes out of stealth. However, I also have the 'promote target' setting enabled, which locks onto the target with a tab or click.
@@RufioGamer So, promote target carries across stealth and remembers your last hit target or something? Is there somewhere to learn targeting priority for stuff like this? Thief and mesmer abusing aggro resets to exploit ping is one of the most unskilled and cancerous things in the game and anything to minimise it would help a lot.
@@Derploop No, the 'Promote Target' is locking onto your target, so you can turn the camera around but still keep the target as long as it doesn't go into stealth. However, there are a few tips. First, make sure your TAB targeting is set to 'Target Nearest Enemy.' When you move your camera, try to keep the target in the middle of your screen. This should work, but it takes some practice if you haven't done it before. I think the default is 'Next Enemy,' but I'm not sure. Sorry, I forgot what the default is. Anyway, you need to keybind TAB to 'Target Nearest Enemy' or something similar and see what works best for you or your gameplay.
Willbender is the most broken class right now imo.
They're competitive, but thief could be nerfed so hard that they couldn't kill anything and they'd still be the most broken class. That class is just insanely unhealthy for the game.
Yes, it's the best class in the game against less skilled players and very easy for new players. F3 and Sword 5, then switch to Spear 5, 4, 3, and the opponent is dead. That's pretty much the rotation for players who don't know how to avoid it (it's best against people who don't use dodge/evade). It struggles, though, against any thief specialization, mesmer, and ranger, especially when facing skilled players. Utility skills and traits are weak. Damage is nice, but in PvP, damage isn't the main factor. Utilities like revealing or poison (33% healing reduction) are far more important, especially against minstrels with gear. It feels like you're hitting a wall, not the player. Of course, if you know how to play, it shines as Firebrand support/healer, which I consider the best in the game. For roaming as the main character in the current meta, I'd choose mesmer, thief, warrior, or ranger over Guardian-Willbender. That's my opinion and experience, but at the end of the day, play what you have fun with!
@@Derploop If you play a class with any revealed skill, thief is a pretty easy target. There are too many classes in the game that don't have utility or traits to reveal. Thief can't be fixed because your main damage skills come from stealth. ArenaNet made a mistake with it at the beginning, and now it's hard to fix. World of Warcraft gives perma-stealth, but once you leave stealth, you can't re-enter it without cooldowns. I played Rogue/Feral Druid for over 10k hours, and I think it’s more balanced. In GW2, I don’t know; entering stealth in combat every few seconds looks OP. Unless they give more utility/traits to other classes or change thief gameplay, this will be a problem forever. That is my opinion.
Why dont you use Rifle Stealth Teleport?
If you're interested, I have a video on this channel: Deadeye Perma Stealth. But there’s no need to go full berserker mode. Soon, roaming will be completely dead unless something changes. There are only a few real roamers left. The rest are just new players and ZERK players who switch to roaming. They are terrible because they play easy classes that aren’t meant for roaming. When they lose, they head to the GW2 forums to spam complaints: "I got wrecked by this," "I got wrecked by that," "Thief is terrible," "Mesmer is terrible," "Elementalist is win-trading," etc. I do not want to even talk about whispers:). /w are out of control if you are in ONLINE status. I prefer INVISIBLE. Also they link my videos on GW2 forums when thief needs to be nerfed:). Meanwhile, they play Power Mechanist with a rifle and get wrecked by anyone using auto-attacks. WvW feels pretty empty because this new grouping system is terrible. A lot of players have quit or moved to PvE because of it. I’ve been active for the last two months and played with two accounts in two different groups. Honestly, I get bored when I log into WvW, and all the maps are empty, whether it’s morning or evening. I then switch to another account to see if there’s any action. If there’s none, I log out of the game. I don’t play for rewards. Maybe if ArenaNet gave more XP or rewards specifically for roamers, we’d see more of them. I don’t know, I’m just guessing. I’m not paid to think or suggest changes, I do this as a hobby. I see maybe one or two Thieves on enemy teams per week. I can’t even remember the last time I saw a real Soulbeast or Spellbreaker roamer. My point is that the less skill you show, the more players might stick around. But I’m not sure about anything. Maybe I’m wrong, and I’d love to be wrong. Peace.
Nice video format i love it!! Any plan to do other classes?
Thank you! We'll see how it goes. I'm active at the moment after being inactive for 10 months, and a lot has changed during that time - new weapons, nerfs, buffs, etc. It takes time to play each specialization in depth. I'll give it a try and see if I can avoid burning out.
7k dps is rough
It's very hard to do DPS on these bosses as melee. In the Eternal Necropolis, Champion Lord Lykesh summons Bone Fiends that stack and are hard to see in the video. They also blind you, causing your attacks to miss and dealing no damage at times. It's very easy to die on this boss. Champion Instructor Gabrielle is also anti-melee, with a lot of AOE burn and frequent teleports. Using ranged attacks makes it much easier to handle these Champions.
Wow, really like this format with pros and cons. It helps new players like me to get some understanding of each roaming class. Please do the same for other professions you play.
Well, I play all professions and classes, it's a lot of videos, haha. I'm getting older, as we all are, and my reflexes aren't what they used to be. But over 80% of the people who watch my videos are between 25 and 50 years old. The younger crowd seems more into Fortnite or Warzone, I guess. I feel like I’m somewhere in the middle. I'll give it my best shot, and I'm glad you like it!
@RufioGamer I'm 47 myself and totally get what you say about reflexes. That's why I find videos like this helpful because it breaks down builds and helps me find a wvw class that would be forgiving to a dad gamer like me. Can't keep with the young guns.

Nice Video! Im thinking about coming back to gw2 have there been any changes to gear like is "ascended gear" still best? Ty in advance
It's the same except they nerfed celestial stats
You can play Guild Wars 2 in PvP Conquest with no gear or with free gear in World vs. World. However, ascended gear is the strongest for PvE and WvW. If you already have it, you're set, if not, you can also get it for free from the Wizard's Vault. The Warclaw mount is also free for everyone. This game focuses more on cosmetics, similar to Fortnite, Warzone, or PUBG. Fun and skill are what truly matter in Guild Wars 2, which is why I play it. You can log off for years, then log back in and still enjoy new content with your existing gear. That’s why I left World of Warcraft in 2014. In WoW, you're constantly farming reputation, doing weekly arenas for conquest points, and completing dailies for gear. When you log in after a few months, you're under-geared for everything and have to repeat the process, spending more time farming and doing tasks you don’t enjoy than actually having fun. If farming gear is what you enjoy, World of Warcraft might be a better option.

I don’t enjoy playing Firebrand or Dragonhunter, as they lack the mobility I prefer, it’s just not my play style. I’d rather sacrifice damage and survivability for more mobility.
hell nah u can run green gear and still win
Lol 😂 Anet has given everyone more movement because of ranger epidemic.
Is this pve deadeye build better than daredevil pp build?
It depends on the situation. Both are good options. I play PvE as a Deadeye if I need to solo something, and I use pistol/pistol Daredevil or core Thief for meta events, quests, etc. Deadeye is boring in meta events or easy fights because you have to keep refreshing the Deadeye mark and enter stealth for Death’s Judgment, which can be tedious. With pistol/pistol, you just press 3 on the pistol and hold or use CTRL+Left Click for the auto-attack. You don’t have to worry about the reveal debuff or refreshing any skills. Plus, if you have support in the group, you can go full DPS with Deadly Arts 1 3 3, Critical Strikes 3 3 1, and Trickery 3 1 2. This is a core Thief build, so you don’t need to own any expansions for the game, making it a great option for free-to-play players. I hope this helps!
@@RufioGamer Thank you for the detailed explanation! My question is more specific to solo boss/mobs situation tho. I usually went pp daredevil when it comes to solo a boss fight, but now i'm wondering if deadeye does it better on dps/sustain..etc.
A bit late, but could you please explain sigil of fire and how it benefits the build?
More damage. I’m using this build with Daredevil too, using either Dagger/Pistol (D/P) or Axe/Pistol (A/P). You might think it requires being in melee range, but it actually triggers on any impact-whether a ranged or melee attack, as long as you get a critical hit, and it stacks with Air Sigil effects. Try dueling another Deadeye who uses this, you’ll notice the impact on your HP right away. For Quickness, you can use the Superior Sigil of Celerity or any other sigil that suits you. There are many great websites for builds, especially if you're new to the profession/class, but eventually, you’ll likely tweak it to suit your playstyle. For example, I usually adjust traits, stats, sigils, etc., based on specific opponents. If I swap out any utility skill in this build, I struggle against Druids at the same skill level. This setup also has trouble against Daredevil Dagger/Pistol builds because it doesn’t include the 'Cloaked in Shadow' trait. 'Cloaked in Shadow' is incredibly strong against melee classes, especially other melee Thieves, if you have it, it’s almost a guaranteed win. I skip it because there aren’t many active Thieves around right now, though there are plenty of Willbenders, they’re relatively easy to counter with any Thief specialization. Test it out and see what fits your playstyle best! :)
@@RufioGamer I main DE, but I had just never considered fire sigil because I was under the misconception that the fire blast was melee only, but after observing closer in the video I can see that the blast was on your target. Handy for extra chip damage and pressuring targets trying to res. Your video has been informative and it has made me consider some things that I had been overlooking. Keep up the good work.

This video is for new and free-to-play players. Some maps may feel dead, or your instance might be empty, making it hard to complete certain content like hero points or specific events for currency or achievements without a group. This build is budget-friendly for new players because it uses Berserker gear. If you don’t have the gold for Runes of the Scholar, you can go with Runes of Vampirism or Divinity instead. However, you can earn gold through the Wizard’s Vault, which should be more than enough. Exotic gear is fine, but Ascended is better. In my opinion, Condi Deadeye with pistol/dagger is the strongest spec for solo players, but you’ll need Celestial gear, which can be very expensive if you don’t play WvW. For free-to-play players using pistols, don’t forget to add traits in Critical Strikes like I did, as it’s very important. Keep in mind that pistol bullets don’t pierce through enemies, and you won’t be able to use the Relic of Zakiros. You’ll need to own the Secrets of the Obscure expansion and complete its reward track in WvW. Alternatively, you could go with the Relic of Fireworks or choose something from the Auction House that suits your playstyle. The Relic of Fireworks works well with Thief’s Steal ability or Deadeye’s Mark. Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you enjoy this type of content!
you aint foolin me coz everyone on standard models for me in wvw lol

Hi. Could you share your build? nice moves btw :)
Ty. It's in the description.
I’ve noticed in the last couple days as a new deadeye, other thieves HATE you. Will dive in a Zerg to focus you. But thanks to your vids, I’m getting better at escaping.
yeah cause winning you im mirror combat elevate their egos to the top of SMC.
Few tips for new players. Guild Wars 2 is a sandbox game, especially in World vs. World or Open World PvP (you do not need to choose your role or something like that). You’re free to play any way you want, with no restrictions. But if you’re aiming to be a roamer, I recommend trying Thief or Mesmer, both are designed for roaming and have builds that suit different playstyles. Other classes can roam too, but in my opinion, Thief and Mesmer excel. If you only have time to invest in one profession and want to roam while also participating in group fights, such as in Zerg battles, consider Mesmer as an option. For example, if you play a Necromancer/Scourge or Engineer/Mechanist, don’t expect to survive solo roaming as easily. These classes tend to be better suited for larger fights, like Zerg play. Personally, I’ve been playing as a Rogue/FeralDruid/Thief for 20 years, that’s my playstyle since World of Warcraft. I know Guild Wars 2 can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first MMO. One thing to keep in mind, in WvW, enemies can see your rank when they click on you, and lower ranks often suggest lower experience. In my experience, having a lower rank makes you a more likely target.
I love that this build still works after so many years. I used to play it with runes of eagles and full commander's stats for extra boon duration and toughness to learn it better at start but I am happy that u can push it with dragon stats when you get this good. Nice gameplay, godspeed brother, stealth haters gonna hate but we keep going <3 EDIT: I forgot to tell you, have you ever tried the food that gives faster endurance regeneration? It's quite good to get that extra dodge that makes a difference in life or death situations
yes, I use Bowl of Meat and Winter Vegetable Stew 30% endurance reg, it is cheaper and enough, Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew 40% regen is too expensive and you almost can not see the difference and the utility is Superior Sharpening Stone
this seems to be pre orchestrated assualt nerf?
The fact that bunch of people leave their blob just to chase a deadeye across 1/3 of the map just shows how potato they are...
It is not the first time, and it definitely won't be the last. But what you say is true.

I love the comprehensive guide! I’ve not gotten to deep into deadeye and I’m learning a lot here. But why BM so much with tbagging and throwing siege? I never understood why people do this.
I could talk about this all day, there are so many different scenarios. To truly understand, you need to roam for a few thousand hours and experience it yourself. The first tip: if you're going to roam, go into "invisible mode" because people will whisper all kinds of crap to you. If they don’t speak English, you'll get whispers in any language imaginable. They just need to say their piece, and that’s it. I’m not sure if I have the footage, but there was one time when people threw like 10 catapults at me. If you check out my last video, "This never gets old in Guild Wars 2," you'll get the point. I’m throwing siege on people who deserve it, not all the time, but sometimes, to show them I don’t need a squad to kill them. People spend so much time in Zergs that they don’t know how to handle a 1v1. They hate it when a lower-ranked player kills them, or when they've spent so much gold on gear, and then someone who looks like a hobo kills them. Thief is very rewarding if you know how to play it, but also very punishing if you make mistakes. Soulbeast with Berserker stats can one-shot you with longbow 2, even if you're mounted. A Warrior with Berserker gear can CC you and, with Greatsword 2, you're pretty much dead. A Druid will root you to death. Willbenders with Marauder stats will delete you if you don’t escape the flames and roots within 2-3 seconds. People complain that Willbender is OP, but they just sit in the roots and flames. I’m sharing my experience from over the years, maybe new players will get motivated to enter WvW, not just when an event is going on or when they need the Gift of Battle. If you kill over 100 players in 1v1s or outnumbered fights in one month while you have "online" status on, please share your experience!:) Peace
I am pretty sure i saw you a moments ago in the WvW. Nice to know that this one shark hunts on the same side 😀
Humiliating. Great work.
what i find odd is they must not have felt they were important to the squad. i mean 6 of them followed you and to me once you were getting close to the camp by fire that should have been the end they should have gone back to the squad. I mean you could have ported at any time they were nvr close enough to actually catch you until you turned around.
I'm sharing my experience after spending a few thousand hours in WvW as a roamer. Maybe you have a different experience, but you can try this if you haven't done so before. In my experience, if you have cheap skins or default skins, you're going to be targeted more. Usually, people judge you by how you look, both your team and the enemy team. But that can also help me, because they don't expect much resistance and lower their guard. New players don't check your WvW rank, so to them, the most important thing is how you glow and what your skins look like. If you want even more action, you can log in with an alt account, especially if you're under level 500. You'll find plenty of targets to kill. That's why my last video is titled "Is Guild Wars 2 Pay to Win, WvW Edition." I want to show new players that it's possible to kill Diamond players with a 5-gold build. In the first clip of that video, where I’m capping the Sentry Point, there's a Diamond Willbender running at me. He burned half of his mobility skills just to reach me faster, because he saw my rank and my default skins, thinking he'd kill me with an auto-attack. On the other hand, if you want less action, just equip your legendary weapon, armor, and accessories, and a lot of players will avoid you. It’s the same in any game: whether it's Warzone, Warcraft, Fortnite, PUBG, etc., people will chase you less if you look like a high-end player. But if you're rocking default skins, expect more chasers. If you have a different experience, let me know! :)

To any new players out there wanting to get into WvW, a few tips and some advice. 1) If possible, pick a set of gear that works for both open world and WvW, with very minimal adjustments. 2) If possible, put a build together that works in open world and WvW, with very minimal trait changes. This lets you learn the buttons and feel of the build before walking into WvW. 3) Be ready to learn! Have a build/play style in mind like a solo or small group roamer. And just simply go out and do it. Go out and try to take those 1v1’s, if you die you die. Have zero ego, if you die try to learn why you died. Some builds and classes counter others, so learn what you feel confident against and what you don’t. 4) Know that even the best players get shit on. You might do some 1 shotting, or you might get 1 shot. The wicked montages you see don’t show all the times they died and had to run back. It’s OKAY to lose fights. 5) Have fun, WvW is so unique to this game. It’s such a fun game mode, do what you enjoy. Play in a Zerg, try solo roaming. Join a guild and roam with friends! Once you feel comfortable with one build or class, start expanding. There’s so much out there that you WILL enjoy something else. Don’t take it to serious. 6) Last, as a general guideline, look online and find a build that exists. If you’re new, you just won’t put together a viable and cohesive build. Tweak things to your liking, but use existing builds as a starting point to see what you like and if it’s your play style!
I think the trap is that only some professions have viable zerg specs with f2p builds. Especially if you just join a random tag if you aren't using an elite spec you'll just get dumped in the useless group
I agree too
how do you zoomout like that
you have FOW or field of view in setting and max it
Glad to see you back, your deadeye build you explained in your full tutorial helped me a ton with getting into the very difficult but very fun pvp of gw2 :)
I’m not going to lie, the game is hard for new players. There are so many experienced players, and as a new player, you don’t have mastery. Sometimes NPCs and siege weapons can one-shot you. If I were to start from the beginning, I would play a support profession like Guardian with the Firebrand specialization or Elementalist with a support spec. I would focus on leveling up my mastery first because you level up much faster as support. Also, a support build costs only about 10-20 gold if you’re starting from scratch. You can buy everything in WvW using heroics, honor, and a little gold. Besides that, the Wizard’s Vault will help you a lot with gold and other stuff. Just by healing and providing boons to others, you get experience and loot. You have a much higher chance of surviving and having fun. Join a WvW guild and find a group.
Good point
