I've actually uninstalled a lot of the Google stuff (Drive, Chrome, "Google", Duo etc.) because it was just wasting space in the app drawer. And one other thing I want to mention is that in Backdrops you can also just long press the Set button :)
I have issues with keyboard not working / showing up in messages on one screen if I am on a video call like Microsoft Teams. Been happening a lot. Have you seen?
As a brand new Duo 1 owner, I appreciate this video! lol I'm sitting here downloading new apps as you're going over them. Lots of new toys to explore today! :D
I'd really like to see how well the Duo 2 can be used as a productivity tool. E.g. Can you connect a keyboard, mouse and headset all at the same time and use it as a portable work station. Possibly even using it with a portable monitor, again at the same time as the Keyboard, mouse and headset.
Let me try this again I just recently purchased a Duo 2 and I'm getting used to the new operating system I come from Android Nova launcher and I'm really used to having an easy way to do screenshots. So I went on the app store and found a version of an app called easy screenshot that has a free ad version but I did purchase the app it's pretty cheap and works fantastic to take screenshots basically there's a drop down from the menu bar and you hit a button and that's it. I've been using it for a day now it has not crashed going to take a lot of screenshots for work so it's working great.
Wow, you use your phone significantly different. I use the Microsoft stuff exclusively. I don't like Gmail, Google Assistant or really any other Google service. It's all disabled. I also mostly use financial and banking apps, along with a lot of office. Outside of that I do a lot of web browsing with edge or start.
I use Google Assistant all the time. All the lights in my house are on smart outlets and routines. There's a nest speaker in every room 😁 I do use outlook for mail, but they're linked to gmail accounts.
What about of crypto exchanges apps like binance, kucoin or others looking at charts and graphs, do they split one screen with the graph and the other with the order book?

I need to know if the configuration is better with Duo 2 on Instagram's Reels. I still have the Duo 1 and IG Reels fit the width of the screen which means they chop the top & bottom of the screen! So I miss faces, I miss text, etc. Very annoying. Is this something they fixed on Duo 2?
Horizontally you wind up with the video going across the hinge with the chat on the far right. If you rotate it vertically though, you get video up top and chat mostly down below.
Thanks for the video. Just want to mention that I noticed that I can't move opened app on one screen to another screen by flickering/pushing the app from home button line horizontally like in surface duo 1. Its very frustrating
Strange. It's not a gesture I ever tried to use, but if I swipe horizontally from the center gesture line towards the opposite screen my app does switch to that screen.
OK thanks mate only thing that let's it down for me could be a fix with a software update maybe, but still great phone. Usually always carry a Xiaomi power bank with not a deal breaker 😉
It's been pretty similar to my Z fold 2. With either, if I really go out of my way to hammer them I could kill them both before the end of the day. There's a charger in the living room, one at my work station and one of my car. Easy enough just to plug in for a moment as I'm moving around in my life.
the z 3 was definitely one I liked did feel nice when I was messing about with it, but you just can't get this kind of multitasking on anything else. Your videos have been a great help mate

I've found that if you long press the comma key next to the space bar in swift key, the talk to text works much better.

Totally agree with you on the video chats. I take those calls in a darkened room to return the rage.

Instagram has not updated their app to address odd aspect ratios on Duo or Z Fold.

I have the Duo 1 too. I don't have that problem.
I have two duo 1s, both working fine. Only it happens on my duo 2 which is a bit harder to flick app from screen to screen from home line horizontally
I've also noticed this, I was always flicking apps on the Duo 1 but I can't get it to work properly on Duo 2
There are still no case for the duo 2
OtterBox has one that they will release by the end of the year, Noreve is making some, there are of course the stock bumpers and the slim pen case.

I haven't used WhatsApp since I quit my last job! If I'm recalling correctly it worked fine on the original Duo.
