Hi Jola, the feeling one gets from such maestros is nothing less than spiritual and it was evident you felt it too with the way tears flowed down your cheeks. Am so happy that you enjoyed it as much as anyone despite the language barriers and being miles apart.

Please also consider reacting to Atif Aslam's Rabba Sacheya (Coke Studio) with lyrics and subtitles. It's a beautiful song -- a complaint to God about the current state of human affairs and the confession of how much the singer loves and relies on God, but He apparently doesn't care for him. Excellent song and composition as well.

Hey Jola. As a person who is learning this exact music I'm very happy to see you react to this. These two combined songs that you just heard by Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, are actually two very emotional songs. You can take the 1st "Song" as a romatic love song or you can take the 1st "Song" as a sad song. ( correct me if I am wrong, people please) The second 2nd "song" is a spiritual poetry to a Sufi Poet called (Hazrat) Laal Shahbaz Qalander (r.a).
The reason why I have "songs" in a bracket it's simply because these aren't classified as songs in the South Asia (Pak and India) but known as Sufi Devotional Music.
