Three things that I like about South Point: 1. Cheap food (Coronado Cafe late nite specials, Garden Buffet breakfast, Sports Book hot dog) 2. Good games (NSU Deuces Wild video poker) 3. A beautiful property with nice amenities (rodeo area, other restaurants, bowling)
It's funny, I was just rewatching this video and thought, this is a really great property, lol! We go to this property more than any other off strip property for so many reasons! Thanks for watching and sharing, we appreciate you!
Yes, SouthPoint is a great property. Michael Gaughn has kept it as close to old school as possible. We’ve ate at most of the restaurants which are good (buffet) or above. Rooms are a good size, lots of chairs at the pool. It’s a place where the whole family can have a good time. Sue
I have seen a lot more locals from Hawaii at this venue. A bunch of them used to be very loyal to Boyd but after Covid, the bean counters took over and people voted with their feet. This is on my list whenever I am in town. BTW The old Benny Binnion’s statue is at the stockyards.
I really wish some of these more out of the way casinos would bring back the shuttles to and from their properties for those of us who don't drive. I just plugged in an uber from Palazzo to South point and the cheapest would be $23 and with the time change it's early morning there now. We used to catch shuttles to Rio, Sam's Town and free buses to Laughlin and Primm (including a free lunch).
I couldn't agree more! Either have the bus system include the off strip resorts or bring back the shuttles. I'd gladly go to SouthPoint, but $46 + just for transport is just too much. Shuttles could even do a minimal charge &/or pre-arrange pickups!
@tuyetvo4353 We used to rent a car for our 7 day stays, and it was nice to drive all around the valley. A 7 day rental cost about $100. Those days are long gone, and the traffic is horrific. Now I'm content to sit in a passenger seat & enjoy the views.
@@GovernorRiffRaff Because if I were at South Point, I'd spend money there, gambling and on food and drink etc. If I could hop on a shuttle and get there for free, I'd go. If I have to book an Uber and pay to get there and back, then I won't, and they lose my custom.
It definitely is one of those properties that always seems to be busy, but we love it. We always have a great time and the buffet cant be beat! Thanks for watching!
South Point is a great alternative to the Strip casinos. It is a reminder of the old Las Vegas that attracted folksy, well-mannered people with a sense of humor rather than a sense of entitlement. Unlike The Strip casinos, its restaurants are reasonably priced. It also has great poker room with cash games and a variety tournaments every day.
They do typically have lower limits than the strip like $10 with $1 for progressive, but they do raise them slightly when its really busy. Totally worth stopping in and checking them out!
This place is a used to be . When I first started going there , it was Great . Now , tight machines , slow drink service , crappy wine and greasy food .
You've heard wrong. South Point bartop video poker has the highest return of any bar in Las Vegas. In fact, it's higher than the vast majority of casino's video poker regardless of location.
This is a strange comment, the Casino (gambling) begins at 1:47. The video is not about gambling at South Point, it's a video sharing several reasons that we think people should visit the property. Thanks for the comment.
I'm confused, is this comment directed towards us? This is 100 percent our content. We made an entire television show about South Point where we interviewed the GM and had full access to the entire property. Our RUclips channel is a side project, our Television show that airs throughout the country is our main job as a production company. Thanks for watching though.

South Point is my home casino. The only place left that gives the gambler a chance. Food options can't be beaten.
This is only place we stay at. We stay for a week and never step out of the building. We love it!!!!!

Thanks for reply. I forgot to mention the best Poker Room in Vegas.
My favorite place to play and stay in Las Vegas. The rooms are spacious and clean. They give you two fun books full of wonderful coupons too!

This is the only place I stay at and have for the past 5 years we love to stay here!

I think I will rent a car close by strips ….. if I fly to Vegas .

Bruh why would they do that when they know you’ll just spend money where they won’t have to

Awesome review Sebastián and beautiful Kristine! Really enjoyed it! 😊❤
I have never visited South Point but need to add it to my list. I love visiting casinos off the strip.
They have some good food specials at affordable prices too.
Do you have a video have you staying there and reviewing the room and the pool
Definitely an awesome resort to check out, when I’m in Vegas. 😊
Definitely!!
I’m at El Cortez, looking for your TV show. What is channel 14 on Cox? Local channel?
It's already overcrowded. It doesn't need any hype.
But you do it beautiful

@@NinthIslandConnection sure enough touch of old school. 🌠

We want to try it
Staying at SouthPoint now for Military Bowling tournament.
They have so many tournaments there, how is it going?
I wonder what their blackjack rules and table minimums are?

Why no triple double video poker? Either at the bars or on the floor
Decent Poker Room ...how many tables
?
Alot

A great resort
Totally agree!
SOUTH POINY IS THE HIDDEN GʻÈM OF LV .. I ALSO LOVE THE "MG"🎉🎉🎉
Bar games are tight, or so I've heard.

Wow, didn't know that, thanks for sharing!
Thats interesting, we really don't play bar top games so really have nothing to share on that.
Where a South Point locate ?
South Point is on Las Vegas BLVD south of Mandalay Bay. Not a long drive at all.
@@NinthIslandConnection / Thanks
It's called keep your money
Bingo has no good prize amounts!
Their floor supervisors think that they are the boss of the players
Don't tell anyone
LOL!
Don't give away our secret
LOL, South Point is our favorite off strip property! Lots of people like Silverton too, but its too far from us, lol.
To late now,,,,I'm crashing that party!!
Weird video without actual footage inside the casino.

@@NinthIslandConnection typically a RUclipsr uses some footage of actually inside the casino not footage the casino filmed.
👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍
Seriously tho. Make your own video next time. Put some work in.
