Very beautiful . Can’t wait to visit Benin one day . As a Haitian my ancestors were literally taken from Benin and there’s actually a village named after Toussaint L’ ouverture and statue that sits in the center of the village in his honor can’t wait to visit his father was born in Allada, Benin . I know of several town in Africa named after Haiti. People always try and shun Haitians for practicing voudou, it’s our heritage. 🇧🇯❤️🇭🇹🤷🏽♀️

The hospitality is totally amazing. Thanks for respecting the culture, this is another man's humble abode. Seems like a quiet village.That man made bridge is topped with sand, well that's nice a form of safety for crossing.

Haitians are from Benin Republic.

What part of the US are you from and why did you relocate to Togo if you don’t mind sharing?
@@israelogbu1238 It was the other way around for me. Some early years spent in Togo (outside Lomé in a suburb along the coast, called Baguida) and now live in the US.

I hope that all the stolen Benin artifacts & art are returned to its rightful owners and, land. I think the people should stand up for themself and, demand their art be returned to them. I don’t understand why other nations feel the need to retain them in their possession & profit from them instead of giving them back. Shameful!

The artifacts were stolen from Benin kingdom in Southern Nigeria while this is Republic of Benin a country that borders Lagos a state in Nigeria so they're different places.

Vraiment beau mon beau pays moi-même je n'ai pas été à cet endroit précis mais je connais togbin ouidah j'ai été à grand popo en excursion en 2010 il me semble mais on a pas vraiment visité grande chose ... il faudra que j'y retourne donc... je ne savais même pas qu'on y faisait du sel... merci d'avoir cette belle expérience avec nous et de nous rappeler de si bonnes choses je trouve bien le fait de vouloir inculquer et montrer la simplicité de la nature à nos enfants j'aime votre simplicité le respect que vous affichez à l'égard des autres vous connaissez même le gari ??
