Here watching this after the sad news about Wilko. I was at this gig and it was a hell of a moment in the evening to see his live return when at one point earlier in the year we were all preparing for the worst. He managed to pack in a LOT of living in those new eight years. RIP Wilko.
not bad! they remind me a lot of the Yardbirds, they have that early 60's cool daddio look.. before real long hair and tie dye took over.. the cool dude look after the Beatles started, and the San Francisco hippie look.. the guitarist is getting some good heavy grinding tones on the Les Paul.. off to a good start.. they just need to push day and night.. better than I thought for their age..
they are like the Yardbirds, early 60's cool look, like how Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck were in 1965 or so.. when rock was starting to change, and get heavier, taking the blues roots and experimenting.. getting louder..trying new things. They are kind of going back to early 60's rock, and doing their thing with it..

The song title fits well with the young lads.
"The Kids Are Alright" .. Saw The Strypes Twice In Los Angeles And They Rocked Both Times!
GREAT BAND!!!
Very few bands nail the exquisite harmonies on this song, and that includes present-day Daltrey and Townshend. So, well done Strypes!
Wow wee it’s the New Yardbirds ; fab stuff you boys

The Strypes are as far removed from a boy band as its possible to get ... great version of a classic song

Actually they are as far removed from a band as you can get.
he's like Jimmy in the movie Quadrophenia

He can’t sing it’s awfull.
Wilko Johnson and the Strypes (who thought of that crap?) show why no one knows who the hell they are. Please stop butchering this great song.
