    Agreed, another good video! Thanks for all you do! It’s hard to knock talk news and politics on a channel, and kudos to you for avoiding it. I mean that, thanks for staying on topic!
    I’m going to say, I’m torn brother.... that stuff does seem to ride better in the bigger bag.... that may be the way to go. As I’ve told you before, I’m not a fan of the waist straps. I take them off my bags, because I don’t find them comfortable, and they mess with the gear on my belt line. With that said, to each their own.. I’m serious on that. Your info, my info, any input from others are just ideas and suggestions. Folks need to do what works from them. I would like to think that all of us watch/research for ideas on how to be better. Sometimes, you don’t figure that out until you try it!
    Thanks for all you do, and my best to you and your family!!

      Thank you brother. It is kind of hard to avoid news although since it does play a part in what we all do. I don’t mind putting a few comments In but I really don’t plan on becoming simple Preparedness news network lol. There are plenty of channels out there that can give people more details and they’re good at it.
      I’ve never used a waist belt so until I get the bag out and log some time with it I won’t know if it’s something I like or not. The short little walk I took with it was comfortable but hours with it on might be a different story. I figure before I take it out I’ll organize things a little better, I just kind of tossed stuff in so people could see the difference. Like you I’m kind of torn but I won’t know till I get it out there.
      As always it’s good hearing from you and I hope you and your family are doing well. Be safe out there brother.

    American civilians: buy the biggest bag you can find and fill it with things you dont even know how to use.
    I wonder in what scenario you going to need not one, but TWO FIRE STARTERS.

      You are right in some cases. That was a lot of completely unnecessary stuff. Assuming I don’t know how to use it was wrong. Things have become a lot more minimal since that video. Appreciate the comment. Be safe out there.

    @simple P or other readers, I just got the Rush 72. I loaded out the front pocket/beaver tail, using all the space but not overloading it, and the bag seemed to turn to mush… everything sagging such that the pack lost all its shape, making it a) awkward to access other pockets and b) very ugly to behold. Have you had a similar experience? If so what did you do?

    • @simplepreparedness
      @simplepreparedness  3 года назад

      That’s interesting. I haven’t had that problem with the 72 but I definitely had it with the 24 due to the lack of lower compression straps. The only thing I could think of is try getting the compression straps tighter to hold things in place a little better. I’ll definitely be following this and hope the problem gets worked out. Sorry I couldn’t be much more help.

      seems to me everything is good already. the extra space could be use for some extra clothes in the winder, which don't really add weight, they just take space.
      Honestly, rush 24 is perfect as a day/multi-day pack, but the 72 seems to be better if you want to add stuff that takes space, jackets and such.

    • @simplepreparedness
      @simplepreparedness  3 года назад +1

      I do agree. That was the reason for going to the bigger bag. I may keep that to use in the winter but as for summer use a smaller bag would be fine.
