    You've inspired me to do my next apartment. I currently live with roommates but I'm waiting to hear about a place of my own. You have me doing design and mood boards and understanding that in the grand scheme of things, ofttimes its JUST PAINT. Paint can be redone and once you're satisfied... the rest will fall into place. Thank you

    I like how you are making an apartment into your own style and design. Some people will not care at all for their home because they do not own it. You are spicing up your living space for YOU! Congratulations!! It is called respect for YOURSELF!

    It looks great. I did mine in Benjamin Moore aesthetic white, which is like the lightest greige, for the walls and ceiling and simply white for all the trim. It looks really sharp.

    Even if it was the same colour, a fresh coat of paint always makes a difference. I absolutely see the improvement with the new colour. From cold and stark to warm and cozy. It looks great and it makes you happy, that is what matters. Totally understandable being so careful with your beautiful lime wash wall. I’m looking forward to seeing more changes in your room. This is real life, not a tv show. We are here to hang out with you, not every video has to be a huge transformation, although I would argue that this paint job was a big change. ❤ ❤ ❤

    The room looks nice and fresh. I wear latex gloves when I paint and they make cleanup much easier. Also, consider an extension pole for your roller. It will give you some distance from the paint spatter and is also more efficient. Looks great though!

    Agree the color change may be subtle…but WOW. The paint comparison shot around the light fixture tells the story! So much fresher and I would almost say calmer?…
    Suggestion…trim those closet door out.

    • @rockshot100
      @rockshot100 5 месяцев назад +1

      I agree, any kind of casing around those doors would be a huge improvement. It looks like it is missing or got ripped off at one point. Would not be expense and he already has the trim paint. Also hope he uses floor to ceiling drapes instead of the blinds. They are so easy to sew, and even clean old sheets is the proper weight of fabric. That is complete privacy but still lets some light in. Well, that is what I did, anyway. I can't sew a straight line very well, but drapes are forgiving.

    The green and the white look great together! I understand what you mean about wanting to keep your bedroom calm. I actually painted most of my bedroom in a very dark, like hunter green, and I was a bit worried before doing it, but making it so dark actually made it very calming to me as well.

    This color you can see on the bed. He has those small off-white pillows at the top, then white sheets showing at the bottom.
    I have cut my fig tree many times, take about 3' off the top, it will grow from the point you cut it. Then remove leaves 2' from the cutting and just root that in water, (White roots will sprout from the water line) then plant that in the same pot if you want.

    Warm tones vs cold tones. Even whites can lean one way or the other. They can have grays, greens, pinks, blues and yellows. It’s so weird how much difference the right white can make in a room. I hate stark it’s always cold.

  • @rockshot100
    @rockshot100 5 месяцев назад +2

    Great, it doesn't look like that "builder's white". Can I share one tip?
    The green frog tape is much better and about the same price. Also, when taping goes on, I put a tiny bit of elmer's glue to completely seal that edge to be painted to prevent any bleeding. Just the school white stuff, and put it on like you did your caulking with your finger, let it dry, then paint. VOILA, a perfect line. No paint can go under that sealed edge.
    Good work, thanks.
