Very interesting! Could you get us a microscope picture of the gold? I would really like to see the actual surface structure of this non-detectable piece.
Our 4500 won't sense, the gold from the Tate (FNQ) below 0.3- 0.2 ( No problems for the monster), we've often thought the gold has inclusions. A mate is buying a Alcoforce ( Yep), so we're going to see what it can do.
I just measured that bit of gold and it is close to 0.1 gram, but the pattern on the surface is so rough that it kills the response to the p.i detector but the mods made it detectable.
The tiny gold that occurs on the northern tin fields, runs with Bismuth or Antimony (generally). If you can get it, that'll open up alot of possibilities.
Why don't you want us to know how to fix the 4500 step by step? We want to know how to fix the device when it doesn't respond to the speaker. Or how to fix the sound when it doesn't. I hope you'll be satisfied with the level of the channel's performance. You're a fan. But whoever follows you and your channel wants to learn. I hope you meet The wish of your followers, because we are plagued with a device covered in epoxy and we do not even know the name of the parts.
I’ve found quite a few pieces like this around the Kalgoorlie goldfields with my 6 that were undetectable to my 4500. Biggest was a .28
But we can have our 4500 detectors as sensitive as the 6000 as long as you do not mind the noise being the same as a 6000.
Super cool how you modify these detectors.
Thanks 👍

The picture on the start of the video has the gold at 10 times zoom.
Well done Woody top one
I changed the MOSFET protection and the device lights up and does not respond to the coil at all
Change mosfet driver, pnp transistor.
Epic again Woody.

@@nigelbowe6688 I suspect that this type of gold can only detected with a small DD coil.
I had a 5 x10 DD for my 5000. They are crap! Sold the coil.
They do not go deep.
Try the Algoforce e1500
I have.

We can ask Minelab to give out repair information as they designed the detectors, they know more than me.
