Thank you very much for this video they told me my ECU and PCM which I guess is a related board for my 2009 Xterra they wanted to charge me $1,800 to replace those two alone and it might be even more. I knew that they were telling you the truth on the parts but they made it sound like it was too technical. I understand computers so I knew they were trying to snowball me.

Just a little advice for everyone, Before changing any car parts I would highly recommend wiping everything down clean , with a Rag & Brush because you can cause contamination inside the part that you are swapping out 🤷🏽♀️💯

Dealer or 3rd party specialist that knows what they are doing, eBay also have seller that can program from your VIN#.

Have a 07 s model. Replaced ecu with one from the junkyard and still won't start but the P0605 code is gone. Will reprogramming it fix the issue?
Yes, it would because the keyfob didn't match with your original VIN#.

I got mine from eBay, back then was like $120.
For a 2014 Nissan Versa they run ~$400 preprogrammed. For other make/models I’ve seen em both higher and lower.
Hey hope your still on here. I was wondering so basically your saying. With the PCM your able to replace it your self ? Then just get a mechanic to do it ? Because Nissan want 700+ for that part 😢

My car has intermittent start issues as well as cylinder 2 randomly not producing spark ( i think it actually shorted out a coil pack in that cylnder. Is there a way to test that the ecu is causing that?

It. How do u go about getting another one. U do see them on ebay but I'm not shure what numbers to look for. There are some number on the top and big K4 in the middle and other number at the bottom. Any help will be so helpful please
The number on the white sticker must match with your old one or else it's not compatible.

You mentioned something about this old one could maybe be re-progammed. So, why not just re-program it rather than replace it? Can the dealer re-program it for you and then you install it?
Never go to a dealer, find online or ebay that you can give your vin# and they will reprogram or program the one that you are going to purchase with your car info.

@@skywalkinjaylin716 order a used one on EBay but make sure the Vin Number on your old ECM matches the Used ECM on EBay 👍🏽 Then call a LockSmith to Program the Skim for you

See if you can find it from junk yard, I don't think you can find those clips by itself.

After you change your ECU there are steps that you will need to relearn or reprogram by a dealer depends on your transmission type.

The ECU is located on the floor directly behind the radio. You do NOT need to remove any glove box, dash, or vents to access it. There is a black plastic cover with 2 round plastic snaps that cover the ECU. From the driver's side, the cover is directly beside the gas pedal.

What repairs can fix the P0605 code?
1. Repairing a faulty ground or power supply such as corroded components and damaged wiring.
2. An Engine Control Module update, reprogramming or reflash (if applicable)
3. Replacing the ECM.

Depends where you buy the ECU from, new ECU must programmed to your VIN# or check with your local dealer first.

There are some sellers on eBay selling already programmed to your VIN# but cost more that are ready for plug & install and needs to re-programmed the key or your car will not start.

You have to get the same one from eBay eg. HN5/J8 or look for the same number that's on your ECU, some seller that sells ECU that will program thru your VIN# and are plug and play and some required re-programming. Be sure to unplug all the power before you swap the ECU and search how to relearn online. Good luck.

Over Mendoza,I think your email or whatever name it goes by has to be what is called reflashing.Usually someone that does this has to come and do that.
