Loved the run because of the runners, great guys.

Not sure why all the hate for this game. It is VERY difficult. And sure, if you compare it to some other SNES games, like Mario World, Super Metroid, DKC, it doesnt even come close. But compared to many other games..its a pretty decent. I enjoyed it as a kid, and even today, its a great challenge.
I just noticed I know a strat for saving time at the first boss!!!
You can trigger the fight without going into the pitt. Ive got the "god pattern" the mentioned more than once with that strat.
Triggering the fight without walking into the sand has no effect on the RNG of the fight, you're just getting great patterns out of luck.

also you can fly backwards on the speeder sections. Saves time.

This was like the Dark Souls of its time. So damn hard. But I think that had more to do with terrible design than anything else...
+Dave Starr Not to mention the wonky jump. They fixed it in the second one granted, but in the first one it's pretty difficult to precision platform with.

Roger Klotz Once you get into the rythm, this game is incredible and really rewarding. The controls arent bad, the game design is super punishing. Glad to know someone appreciates this game as much as myself. Kudos bro
after watching this, I feel like I may have had a broken game or something. whenever I played level two, nothing would happen. I didn't understand how to beat it or what to do. I even would fly in all different directions looking for stuff.after seeing this, I was like, "WTF? theres supposed to be enemies in this level?" lol.for some reason, they never spawned on my cartridge(though I do remember getting to the third level once after revisiting the game when I was a little older, but i definitely dont remember any of those enemies.)
Awful game, but. It came with a trade-off, great runners.
And regardless of the disgusting RNG and stuff, pretty damn good run for both

I enjoyed many Star Wars games, but I think I would not enjoy this one. Great run from both players though.

Extreme RNG, poor controls, complete disregard for the movie the game is adapted from, terrible animation, lag, glitches, tedious cycle-based platforming sections, bosses that are pure bullet sponges with little in the way of actual mechanics... I have no idea what 6-year-old me liked about this game. This should've been in the Awful Games Done Quick block.

It has some nice sprites/visuals, big sprawling stages with a nice sense of scale....aaaaand that's about it. It's a terribly designed game on every other front, so it doesn't hold up today especially when you compare it to all the other gems of the generation.
