The enemy patterns on the first few stages are daunting, but I do recall a copious amount of spinning saber flips in my childhood. In fact, that's all I remember doing.
This is like the Dark Souls of video games. ...Besides Dark Souls. ... ...And Dark Souls 2. ...and 3. ... ...and Bloodborne ... ... ...and Demon's Souls LOOK THIS GAME IS HARD, OKAY
I beat this twice, once because my friends said it was impossible and another time just to prove that I could. This is the only game I have played for 24 hours straight. Luckily Vader’s pretty easy
wow he made this game seem so approachable, ive beaten it once but only because i cheated with an emulator and kept making save points so i never had to sacrifice blaster powerups or lives
About the secret room in the Carbon Freezing Chamber level, it's located after the first checkpoint, precisely at 33:47; instead of jumping to the near platform, fall down while holding left to make Han face directly the wall, after falling for a short time while pressing left, you can pass through a fake wall that will take you to a room with 1ups, blaster upgrades, health swords and big hearts.
There is one more secret at the very start of the level. If you let the first metal claw thing grab you a few times it will throw you to the left of the screen. i believe there are several blaster upgrades, health swords and other stuff. I found this by accident when i was a kid
Ironically George Lucas insisted that no Star Wars game would be on the Genesis because the SNES was "technically" superior. Uh-huh. As we all know the Genesis actually has a faster processor.
what is peoples obsession with boba fett? he barely appears in the movies and once he finally has something to do on screen, he just falls over because he gets startled, staggers back up only to get bumped by a paddle causing his rockem sockem jetpack to launch him loony toons style into a barge, roll down a hill into a friggin stationary pit monster (seriously, as long as you dont fall down, this thing cannot harm you in any way) and die with a wilhelm-esque "AAAH!"
A lot of it is how good of a toy figurine he made and Slave 1 was an awesome play set too. When you've got a bunch of boring figures available in the range, a really cool looking one like Boba Fett really stood out. That made people pay more attention to him in film, and the fact he's so briefly featured makes it a more enticing and enigmatic character.
There was no hype for the character when the movies first came out. It's probably due to nostalgia and the expanded universe that the character got more popular. He was casually killed off at the beginning of Jedi because nobody who worked on the movie thought it was a big deal.
Runner introduction starts at 00:31. Run starts at 00:54.
The production team of this year's SGDQ deserves massive, massive kudos. Keep up the flawless work.
Some really clutch saves in the run after dying. This game is NOT easy.
Great run, and great commentary as always!
Darth Vader leaping away like Batman is a majestic sight.

That donation commentator's laugh
YES

This and A New Hope on the SNES are disgustingly hard. Feels like Striker (or Indy or whatever) is the only person that ever beat them. Ever.
How _did_ any of the game developers even beat this game?

No "Han Roll-o" jokes? Okay, then.
Great commentary and gameplay
27:36 to quote Palpatine...dew it!

Indy just rips through those AT-ATs. Most impressive.
Lmao at how many strats are minimizing lag

He looks cool and was mysterious. That's all.

Well... You have literature to read aout bobba in order to like him.

I had to skip playing this game in the super Star Wars series back in 2022 because it’s probably gonna give me the hardest time I’ve ever had.
I have NO idea how much HP all the bosses have because it’s SO confusing.
Indy sounds exactly like the actor Justin Long
yes this game is difficult
i think hagane is the only game thats harder then this game
why does Striker changed his name?
It's his actual nickname!
