Pat the NES Punk lol took John 10 hours of installing before it crashed lol thats terrible for something in the year 2017 taking 10 hours to install. I've downloaded emulators for snes, sega, nintendo, and ps1 on my phone and was playing games in about 5 mins for like $5 that i paid to support the developers. Why would anyone buy this shit?

RF only on Japanese channel that's not available on most US/Europe gear with sound carrier that's not available on Japanese gear. You can choose between having sound, having video or searching for obscure DVD recorder that sold only in 2001 in Middle East (and it runs MESECAM only so no color picture then).

As for the SD card image, you can load any RetrOrangPi card but not a card from a different board cos thats like putting windows on a Mac

Does the CU console only ship with 2 x MadCatz controllers or would you consider swapping one out for a Gioteck? Maybe even give the optional extra of adding the Gioteck HC5 headset which couldn't connect to anything, I'm sure there is likely some stock of them Creative unbranded fucked up dongles left they used.

A buddy of mine got suckered into one of these turds. Even setting this thing up is a nightmare and it doesnt even come with any instructions on how to set it up properly.
Just mod a previous generation console you don't use anymore and enjoy the emulators! There's your magic box. Or maybe what gamers have been doing for 20 years and just play emulators on PC, the longest running magic box.

just bought a regular raspberry pi 3 and installed everything myself. Got a custom SNES case with a fan. I'm not savvy on coding or anything and I figured it out. I even know how to overclock and edit configurations now. Try it yourselves instead of being lazy and buying freeware.
Under the GPL license, which I assume Kodi is based on, software can be redistributed for a profit, but the original license cannot be changed, and all changes to that software are still under that same license, keeping it open source for anyone who buys or downloads it. Selling the hardware as they do is definitely rogue, but selling open source software isn't dodgy, especially if people know it's open source and will think to download it free somewhere else.

Just get Raspberry Pi 3 w/Case and controllers, and plug from Amazon for like $60 and install Retro Pi and add your own games easy.

I don't understand the market for these things. RetroPie already exists and does what you want. Hell, any PC made in the last twenty years will play the full libraries of retro games that these scams promise. Why are people always looking for a solution that already exists?

I agree it is done to death, but there still hasn't been a really really good emu retro console, besides the NES Classic. They all fail in someway, whether it is build quality, bugs, never coming out, etc... There is still a need in the market for a good retro emu console, for people who don't want to build themselves.
