From October to December, Diana Ankudinova took part in the show Avatar. This show is similar to the show The Masked Singer, but instead of costumes, the artists are covered in sensors and are in a room behind the stage and control digital avatars. Diana performed in the avatar of the Firebird and WON, no one recognized Diana for 9 episodes. The culmination of the performance was the Firebird's performance to the song by Yma Sumac - Taki Rari, where Diana demonstrated fantastic vocals and record-breaking high notes (dramatic contralto and G#6🤯). Videos in better quality with English subtitles are provided by KWstas Vagias.

Te entendemos te ha puesto así porque precisamente ella es la tan llamada REINA DE LA PIEL DE GALLINA, ella es polifonica, con su voz robótica y hasta demoníaca, es tan única y tan genial tanto como Dimash tiene tan solo 19 años y cuando ella interpreto este tema acababa de cumplir 18...su vida ha sido tan difícil pero a la vez de inspiración para muchos que pese a todo se puede salir avante de la adversidad
Polyphonic comes from backing tracks and robotic voice comes from autotune/pitch correction. Her live singing is not robotic. Robotic sound is not good anyway. Her voice is very rich and unique. Let's not mix things up.

Interesting analysis in terms of her vocal performance and the musical arrangement, but nothing really new. Strange that you didn't make any comments about the spectacularly brilliant visual arragements, which contribute immensely to the emotional impact of her performance.
@@ThomasOrtlaufpg Thanks 🙏 Sorry you didn’t find anything “new” about it. I mainly stuck with chords and orchestration as that’s something I could demonstrate on the piano, which I don’t see a lot of other actors doing at least to this performance. But yes, it was brilliant visual arrangements as well. I spoke on those matters on other videos of hers before and it is impressive. But time is limited to discuss all angles of any performance. But thanks for the compliment and feedback back. She’s terrific and it’s awesome so many support her!
@nextdoormusician As for the musical arrangement, I've just noticed "something new," at least for me. Diana's version is not only different in terms of the minor key, but there's also a difference in rhythm. Elvis' version is a waltz (3/4 rhythm) throughout, which, in addition to the major key, contributes to its "happy mood," like a wedding dance/waltz (and I read that quite a lot of folks have been using the song for that purpose), while in the first part of Diana's performance, when she sings in that very low voice, the rhythm is NOT a waltz. Only when she goes up an octave, the 3/4 rhythm kicks in. However, it's then also not a "happy waltz," but, as you pointed out, it's more a means of building up tension towards a dramatic climax.
Diana's cover is the darker, epic Tommee Profitt version, not the Elvis Presley version.
